That is just so people don't question it. As we have seen with the current situation, they probably just check the numbers and add in the ballots. I would like to see people given a receipt with their vote on it, so you can return your receipt if there is a recount. Then two different counting locations would be used to match the receipts. You would also need voter ID too.
