As more users join, the amount of posting and frequency of new posts is increasing tons rate impossible to keep up. When I see ten "I just got an amber alert!" posts, this clouds the board. Of it is not relevant, and this is NOT relevant....

That's just one of the chronic illnesses of any Reddit-style platform. Easy to get addicted to upboats and develop an unhealthy attitude to posting. At least you guys allow downvotes and show them independently, that alone already makes a big difference.
Lifetime voting scores for users shouldn't even be a thing. I'd rather see posts per day or total post numbers like old school forums. Voting should only be used for scoring what topics are bumped up.
There are certainly way too many people who are looking for upvotes when they make their topics rather than looking for discussion or to disseminate information.
Yep, consistent scores also encourage farming karma rather than focusing on individual meaningful conversations. But that's exactly why social media drove the internet forum into extinction - rewarding those kinds of impulses, giving people the illusion that they're "building their brand", does wonders for engagement.
