Universal suffrage destroys whenever it goes. You always end up with the people most dependent on the system voting for more dependency, while making it impossible in the long run.
Realistically, it makes sense that only people who own property (homes/land) should be able to vote. I don't own anything so even I would be excluded from voting. Why should people who don't own anything have the right to tell other people to pay higher property tax on something they've long since paid off?

If we made voting based on whether one a was tax-payer, it would lead to a MORE Republican voting result than if we just banned women.
(75% of tax-payers are men. The 25% of men who are not tax-payers tend to vote Left.

I'm torn on this. Maybe the reason women are such emotional dummies is because men worship women more now than ever.
