If he isnt on it, but does join and start posting on it, how can we know its really him, and not someone posing as him.

He has been advised not to join Gab and it looks like he is listening to his crap advisors again. If he did join, the CEO of Gab would vet his account and he would have a blue check mark indicating that he was authentic. I think he should just join already. Gab is the place.
exactly, who are these assholes he is listening to. He should have joined months ago, millions would have followed and joined Gab.

There's an account with verification, but what I understand it is a mirror of his Twitter, set up by Gab and reserved for him.
I also heard they saved the whole Trump Twitter account, including comments :o
And yes, Gab is down for me as well atm
They reserved his account for him and mirrored his tweets but he hasn’t claimed it from them as far as I know.
any reason why? why wouldnt he sign up to Gab, or Parler before it went down.
