Hot toddy! This is the best news I've had all week. Thanks

P.S. Antifa used Telegram all summer. Someone was infiltrating them then posted their messages all over bitchute videos. Not surprised it's over on the crappiest side.

I would like to see more community auditing around it. I don't really like the lokinet thing as it does have some security concerns in the implementation of it. Not sure how these fall on session or not.

More community auditing? pede the source code is open. the network is growing! full audit of session by a third party is underway as we speak.

Yes, and no. I know there is a third party audit going on. I would like to see a community audit. I really don't think they have the number of nodes that they should have (this will change with more traction). I am doing my own audit on it, and I am not liking what I am seeing; I think that will change in time though. The other concerning thing is that the government could have them put a backdoor in the pre-built applications. Yes, a risk with all apps like this.

Awesome! the more that see the tech better and no there is no back door bro of any kind. only your device security and you opsec can fuk you

fyi

Session protocol was fully implemeted as of yesterday! it is no longer Signal protocol as Session started out as a fork for SIgnal. I highly encurage you reach out to the devs they are very active talk to them on IRC on lokinet ;)

Only time will tell if it picks up with the cyber community. So far, session seems fine to use as it only suffers from the possible flaws of every other app that is out there. But I am nitpicking the details. I would not use lokinet until their implementation gets fixed though. I am played around with it on linux, so I am not sure how they are doing it on window boxes.

I run multiple pool nodes. How many do you run?

NoMoreMao 1 point ago +1 / -0

So what do you do about the FBI capturing millions of nodes and the ability of an ISP to trace and log connections?

1
heavy-hauler [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

FBI can suck it or any one else for that mater. no one has tried to get 51% of the nodes yet. the price of the coin did not explode yet. and even then you cant buy up all the supply of new coin emmision. it is prohibitivly expensive to do that by design!

even if you manage somehow to get 51% its still random paths accross entire network.

that is it say THIS IS A GAME CHANGE PEDE!!!

LOOK AGAIN and REASEARCH MORE!!! FUK BIG TECH WE DO NOT NEED THEM!
