Direct voting is literally the stupidest thing we could have, and wouldn't be constitutional at all. We need to get rid of universal suffrage and limit it to those that pay a net positive amount of taxes. No taxation without representation, and no representation without taxation.

The country has always taxed private citizens, even in 1776. You're clearly historically illiterate if you think the founding fathers didn't want/allow taxes. Why do you think only landowners were allowed to vote? Because they produced taxable commodities; no one had "jobs" except vagrants and slaves. You may be correct about the current level of taxation being theft, but this country was literally founded on the idea that those paying into the tax pool should have a vote on how to use it.
