New Yorker here, and I agree with you at its heart the city is more based than most imagine. The general dislike of DeB should not be wasted.
I do not atm, but clearly this is something which is in the top handful of items which needs to be addressed very soon.
The closest thing I can think of was the NYC Junto, but they’re long gone.
