The delusion is spiritual in nature. I have even seen Christians fall for it. We may be nearing the end once the delusion becomes omnipresent.
I spent 3 years researching the delusion and was writing a book about it. I wasn't even looking for a delusion. All I wanted to know was why the atheists I debated with online would forget about any evidence I would give them and that we discussed, an hour or two later. So with this simple question about an amnesia that I witnessed in certain people, 3 years later I uncovered the details of a delusion that could have only been produced by God. After those three years, I tried to falsify the theory for 6 months and invited about 100 of the smartest Atheists I could find to poke holes in the theory. None could. I also made predictions based on the theory and all of them came true. I wanted to falsify it but couldn't.
The delusion is built into every human but is only triggered by the denial of God so I called the theory the Denial of God Delusion. I know everything about it. There is no earthly cure and the people we are dealing with are incapable of relating to evidence, logic, and reason correctly so it's a waste of time trying. What door God opens cannot be closed and what door God closes cannot be opened. I can sum up my entire inquiry in one short statement. We use the world to inform our beliefs. They use their beliefs to inform their world.
That's fascinating. I'd like to hear more about this. I'm dealing with some of my own family members who will deny evidence that doesn't fit their liberal mindset. A mindset that they actually deny.
I'll give you the simple version. When someone denies God, they deny the only possible transcendent source of truth that could exist. An external all-powerful, all-knowing God. It's possible there is no God but then we would have no possible source of truth. God doesn't have to be real for this to be true. It just follows the laws of logic. All-knowing God exists? Possible source of truth exists. No all-knowing God exists? No possible source of truth exists.
So a person denies God but they still desire truth so they look within themselves and find their beliefs. Paydirt, they then RELATE to their beliefs as truth, and (evidence/logic/reason/reality/the world).
How many times have you asked for evidence for some stupid claim from a liberal/leftist only to be given more of their beliefs? You say that's not evidence and they give you even more belief. This is not a mistake. They think they are giving you evidence when they are telling you their beliefs. They also think they are espousing logic and reason when they give you their beliefs. They think they are describing the world when they give you their beliefs. These people are mind fucked.
OK. so now let's say you give them evidence. Maybe a report, photo evidence, video evidence, witness testimony, whatever but it's from the world. When they need to test your evidence that you give them, they test it against their beliefs thinking they are testing it in the world. To any casual observer, they are just looking in their head for answers and that would be correct. This is the weird part and the reason why I started all this. If your evidence doesn't match their beliefs, it has no place to exist in their world, and within an hour or two, it's gone. Poof. Question them the next day after showing them documents, video, and witness testimony evidence and they will tell you that you never gave them evidence. They just had no place to park it in their world. If it doesn't fit the beliefs they hold, there's no place for it, and it flys past them.
They get frustrated with YOU because they keep giving YOU evidence (their beliefs) and YOU never get it because your stupid, ignorant, blind, or fucked in the head. Of course, we don't get it. For us, they are just giving their opinion. Where's the fucking evidence? Oh, there is so much more. This theory explains every single weird behavior in leftists. From the one simple relationship shift of relating to their beliefs as truths, an entire litany of weird problems and disconnects show up.
One last thing. Their world only receives confirmation from itself and no falsifying evidence can be processed. They are delusional until they search for a transcendent God. There's so much more but that's the short condensed version.
