This isn't even the first time some of this has happened. there has been major voter fraud or elections stolen through one way or another a number of times since the country's founding, it just that this is the first time a large majority of people noticed while it was going on (except for maybe 1875).
There have even been periods where people have been thrown in prison just for making speeches under sedition laws.
