I'm tired of wasting my time on "2-Minutes Hate" posts. We know they're manipulative, lying, authoritarians who would revel in our total destruction if they thought they could get away with it.
We need to engage our frontal cortexes and take action.
I don't think voting will work. What will? Here's my working list:
(1) STOP BUYING EVERYTHING. If you must buy something, try to buy used from an American locally. Use Thrift Shops. If you have to, go to eBay and buy preowned from small sellers.
Cut China's throat and they can't bribe our politicians. Cut sales taxes to your state capitols and they can't bribe your fellow voters.
(2) GET OUT OF DEBT AND STOP BORROWING MONEY.
"Debt is the slavery of the free." - Publilius Syrus. The banksters are only slightly less evil than the Chinese. Go to beans and rice or lentils and rice, whatever is cheaper in your area. MAKE THE SACRIFICES TO CUT OFF THE POWER OF THE BANKS. Every time you borrow money, they create more and become more powerful. Your kid doesn't need NEW shoes or clothes. Neither do you. Let them be tough. Teach them the content of their character is the most important thing. Let them learn the hard way who their real friends are. Guess what? You need to learn who your real friends are too.
(3) GET OFF SOCIAL MEDIA. Memes are fun, but they don't make you better. They make you angry. Angry people can't think. Angry people engage with stupid people. Anger is a waste of your life. You're going to save the world. You can't do it if you're perennially seeking an emotional release.
(4) EDUCATE YOURSELF (memes don't count). Read and study the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Federalist Papers, the Gulag Archipelago, 1984 and Brave New World. Read history books published before 1960. Read Shakespeare. Read The Creature from Jekyll Island. Memorize "Invictus" and recite it daily. Best time to do this is early in the morning when your brain is generating A-waves.
(5) LAUGH OFTEN AND DEEPLY AT LEFTISTS. Don't argue with ridiculous leftist arguments if you know the speaker is entrenched. If you think there's a chance to get through to them, ask questions instead of arguing. If not, laugh at the fools, and mean it. Walk away still laughing. Be dismissive and rude. These ideas are so bad they are only worthy of contempt.
(6) GET FIT. Walk or jog or run. Do push-ups and sit-ups. Plank. Squats. Lunges. Download a free bodyweight workout app. Use HIIT training to lose weight and improve your heart health.
(7) NEVER, EVER, EVER GIVE THEM AN INCH. You're already every bad -ist you can be, so why bother with any form of appeasement? It didn't work for Chamberlain, and it's not going to work for us.
(8) Add more, frens.
You've figured it out. Congratulations. You're now a little further along than most people.
You're 100% right about leftists. It's not even necessarily about power, though that matters. Leftists have a set of moral values that differ from your own. When you thought they're being hypocritical they typically aren't because from the perspective of their beliefs, they are adhering to them admirably.
The left uses your sense of morality against you but they have no intention of respecting your set of moral beliefs. You can think of it like a religious war. A Christian might point out all the contradictions in Islam but then refuse to accept the contradictions in the bible. One side believes their moral value system is true and they reject the other.
Your solution is close to being accurate. Only thing I would add is have lots of children and teach your children well. The only way you'll beat the leftists is through a culture war.
That isn't the definition of a hypocrite; that can be mere inconsistency, which anyone is capable of.
The key to hypocrisy is deliberate falseness, particularly in condemning others with a standard that you should equally apply to yourself, but you don't. In that sense they are 100% hypocrites.
