I have two boys two 12 and 10. They'll be 16 and 14 at the end of this first term. By then we'll have been inserted into another decade long war. By the time my kids are military age the 2025 president (Harris or some other warmonger) will have no qualms about forcing them to throw their life away at the behest of China.
If I lose my sons then my life is over and I'll have nothing left to lose. I will probably act accordingly.

Mine are 9 and 4. I'm in the same boat as you. I will not let them fight for this tyrannical government, even if it means moving to another country.
