If you sign up and know you could win stupid prizes, like being pimped out to a foreign desert to possibly die, or suffer PTSD, or become permanently disabled, why do you complain and act all sad when you win a stupid prize?
I'm tired of everyone trying to manipulate our emotions to get us all sad over stuff like Wounded Warriors, and dads who never see their kids or family. They freaking chose that knowing full well what could happen!
I saw a friend get married, then her husband immediately got sent overseas and didn't really see his wife much for a couple years. Some chump husband he was. Dad's screw their kids over. The kids essentially grow up without a dad, and yet we celebrate the dad as if he was so great. God gave the man his kids, and he deprived them of a father. Screw that!
I'm also tired of seeing these ex military attention whores parade around in their military hats and spouting off about how they're military and better than everyone else.
Stop idolizing soldiers. Stop the hero worship. If someone is dumb enough to sign up in the military full knowing what can happen, they have no sympathy from me when they suffer the consequences of their actions.
