Sometimes, in an exceptionally arduous war, even the general can fall in battle. It is not a fault of his ability, or the resolve of his patriots. It's merely a reality. A devastating loss; nothing more, nothing less. It does not mean the entire war is in defeat, or even on the verge of being over. A new general picks up the mantle, acknowledges the loss, and finds a new path to victory. The duty of those fighting is to bear through this and continue on the back of the very, very real ground that has been gained.
Trump's political defeat is not even a total loss, either. He's still very much with us, able to help us continue to fight back, to make a stand for values and freedoms we know are worth standing up and defending against any who might wish them harm. Keep up, my fellow 'Pedes. The night is not yet over, and the sun will still yet shine again.
Thank you...I needed that.
