...It's time for you to renew your faith in God, or if you do not know him, the time for you make room in your heart for Him.
John 16:33 "“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Jesus knew, this world was destined to be full of trouble. Not to say you can't be saddened by the burdens of today, but put your troubles onto God, so that you may find peace through him.
The best this world can do in the way of "peace" is to get people to agree not to harm each other for a while. This world is not capable of true peace. It cannot heal the hearts of men. But God can. Even those whose lives seem to be easy and full of abundance will someday know trouble. None of us can escape the ailing's of old age, nor avoid illnesses or loss, and all of us someday will perish and face judgement.
There are those who look to science to extend their lives, but in the end time will run out. They look to science to keep them safe from disease, and still, diseases will remain and will adapt and will sicken us. They will look to science to give them answers beyond this world. But they will only discover greater questions and deeper mysteries. They will look to the heavens and through science find grand mysteries of the universe. But all that we discover in the distant reaches of space will forever escape our grasp. When you truly wrap your mind around the vast distances of the cosmos' you will find that we are unlikely to ever get there.
"“As our circle of knowledge expands, so does the circumference of darkness surrounding it.” - Albert Einstein
All that we work for, will turn to dust in time. The product of our endless toiling under the sun will only endure for so long. But do not let these truths turn you to nihilism, rather make room in your hearts for God.
Psalm 94: "Lord God, to whom vengeance belongs, let your glory shine out. Arise and judge the earth; sentence the proud to the penalties they deserve. Lord, how long shall the wicked be allowed to triumph and exult? Hear their insolence! See their arrogance! How these men of evil boast! See them oppressing your people, O Lord, afflicting those you love. They murder widows, immigrants, and orphans, for “The Lord isn’t looking,” they say, “and besides, he doesn’t care.
Fools! Is God deaf and blind—he who makes ears and eyes? He punishes the nations—won’t he also punish you? He knows everything—doesn’t he also know what you are doing?
The Lord is fully aware of how limited and futile the thoughts of mankind are, so he helps us by punishing us. This makes us follow his paths and gives us respite from our enemies while God traps them and destroys them. The Lord will not forsake his people, for they are his prize. Judgment will again be just, and all the upright will rejoice.
Who will protect me from the wicked? Who will be my shield? I would have died unless the Lord had helped me. I screamed, “I’m slipping, Lord!” and he was kind and saved me.
Lord, when doubts fill my mind, when my heart is in turmoil, quiet me and give me renewed hope and cheer. Will you permit a corrupt government to rule under your protection—a government permitting wrong to defeat right? Do you approve of those who condemn the innocent to death? No! The Lord my God is my fortress—the mighty Rock where I can hide. God has made the sins of evil men to boomerang upon them! He will destroy them by their own plans. Jehovah our God will cut them off."
Through all of this, many have learned the hard truth, of the fallacy it was to put faith in men. If you feel betrayed by this election: rejoice for having your eyes opened. Men will fail you, God will not.
You don't have to start your journey at a Church. It can take a long time to find a Church that fits. And a bad Church can truly discourage folks from finding Jesus. A bad Church can do more harm than good.
You can find the Bible online, you find countless videos online that share wisdom from scripture, you can find many here who will gladly share what they have found in their journey towards Christ Jesus.
