This is false. It happened to Nixon with JFK, almost all historians agree JFK stole it from Nixon (which btw, made him paranoid). The courts were charged with fixing it and the clock ran out, JFK appointed his own people to run the investigation and the administration investigated the administration and found the administration did nothing wrong.
If you look at his policies he was entrenched with the political normalcy of the time and probably would have been worse than LBJ.
I think he was smart enough to pay lip service and seem like one of the people to seem like people are getting their will. I can say that at least he was far more clever than the usurper regent occupying the white house today.
