I won't be repeating it. My wife and I sold our wedding and engagement rings to buy guns and gun training courses. We won't let them take our white neighbors some day. We all need to train ourselves to protect our republic before it's too late. It sucks that I wake up angry every day now because this is our world. I wasn't meant to be a soldier I was a cheese maker . I made fucking cheese. But now I'm a soldier thrown into some 1984 remake, god it's awful.

I'm thinking of doing the same but I don't want to do internet searches about it because well, I don't want to be on some list.

Can you just tell me what kind of $ investment I'm looking at for getting something simple and a basic training? At least then, I won't feel I'm getting gauged walking in to a ___ seller.

Thanks.

You out probably aren’t one. But your post is glowie.

The best advice I will give is pay attention to when people talk guns. Don’t buy cheap. Concentrate on gun safety and marksmanship. Leave combat tactics to those who do combat. Until you are proficient with the basics. At which point you will know where to look for tactics training.

Fair enough, man. I was afraid my post would set off alarms. Thanks for the tip. I'm paranoid about this so I wanted to get some advice before I go to a brick and morter shop. I've never owned one and don't even know what model to get. Appreciate you bothering to reply. I'm going to look into a VPN though I heard they don't actually do what they claim to do. and research myself where to start. The good thing is I moved to a red state where hunting is a big part of life, so that takes the edge off. Thanks again

Find a small mom and pop owned lgs (local gun shop/store). Talk to them about your concerns and what current level of knowledge you have. They will be able to point you towards safety and proficiency training as well as put you in a good starter piece.

Thanks again. I just didn't want to walk in all naive and uninformed. I'll look for a local place and just be honest. Appreciate the follow up. Good luck!

Small and local will take the time and do you right. Ask people you know and trust in your area, who are gun people, about the better shops in your town/city. Do not be intimidated. They will be nice. I promise.

It’s an old copy pasta from when trump was elected. Dude was worried about defending minorities and “our democracy”. I made some select edits. Applied it to today. The cheese maker copypasta shall live forever.

Sorry, your father didn't teach you about guns. I hope you don't need them, rather I pray you don't need them. Stay safe.
