Better to go into tomorrow, believing you're wrong, then be absolutely stoked. Getting your hopes up doesn't do a damn thing but open you up to having them shattered.

WRONG

You don't go into battle presuming you'll be dead and beaten by end of day so you can be pleasantly surprised if things go different. And that's in the worst of times when uncertainty around. You couldn't ask for better signs yet you're all still dooming.

I swear, a generation trained to fear losing tries to pre-cope with loss instead of playing the game they're literally poised to win.

You're absolutely right, save for one detail. Jan 20th isn't a battle as far as I'm concerned. It's a sham ceremony. And I'm a Canadian. I'm mostly just cheering you guys on right now, although I intend to move to the US. When I do, you can call me a 'born-again patriot'.
