Whatever may come tomorrow or over the next four year or even beyond that, remember one important thing:
God has Won.
Not only has He won, but everything that has happened since then, everything that is happening now, everything that will happen, it's all part of a plan that leads to one outcome where God's victory is finalized.
Nobody really knows the details of the plan aside from GOD himself. At times the plan may not make sense. There will frequently be times we may not like what the plan requires. God is the only one capable of truly understanding both the good and the bad since He is the only once with the capacity to truly see all the pieces and truly understand how it all fits together.
God's will is bigger than any one person. God's will and God's plan is bigger than any one nation, even the United States of America. As Revelation has made clear, before the end of God's plan can come to fruition, the world is going to see some very dark times. Unfortunately, there are dark events that are going to come to pass that nobody is going to be able to stop.
Whatever may come, remember that God is in control. Even when it might not seem like it, nothing in life happens without God allowing it to pass.
If you're worried, scared, or can't understand why things are happening the way they are, remember that God has a plan.
In the face of such darkness, pray to Him. You may pray to ask that He may yet deliver this nation from evil, certainly, that He may yet see fit to allow this nation not to be delivered into the hands of those who would use their power for evil.
More importantly, though, pray that He might grant you courage to do what is right and withstand whatever hardships might come. Pray that whatever your part in the plan may be that you would be prepared to accept it and act in accordance with His will. Pray that God may act through you. Pray that he would comfort both you and those you love and give you the strength to carry on in the face of whatever challenges lie ahead.
Pray even that those who work against us may yet see the errors of their ways, that they may yet serve as an instrument for good. Pray that they too might find God and let Him guide their actions.
Remember that God is in control. When the things of this Earth may fail, remember to turn to Him. Stand on Christ, the solid rock, for all other ground is sinking sand.
For God has won.
So it has been, so it is, and so shall it be. Forever and ever, from now to eternity.
I definitely need to pray for courage and whatever the opposite of obsessive dooming is. Stress and pregnancy and two little ones don’t make for a calm house.
