My Samsung Galaxy phone just updated on its own

For the past week I was prolonging the update just so I don't miss the Emergency broadcast by the President if it ever happens tomorrow..Today, however, my phone automatically did the system update. I'm checking how I can see if I am enabled for the broadcast. `

It can happen. I trust Lin. And the Presidential alert can't be turned off based on settings.
