Because he is viewed as a crackpot. Hence, proving his statements caused damage would be extremely difficult. Basically it is easier to convince the world he is nuts, then ignore him.

It's easier to ignore him and let him seem crazy than to give him an even bigger platform by having his accusations aired in a courtroom.

Even if what he is saying is true, nobody is taking him seriously so no harm no foul.
