Population of USA 1770: 2.1 million Population of USA 2021: 360.0 million

So the population of the country is 180 times greater than in 1776

While the nation guard force is only 32.5 times larger. Mostly peacful checksout.

Um, there’s only about 25,000 in DC. So it’s more like 4%. Still, it’s a LOT of troops packed into such a small area.
