Everyone is always waiting for that huge event to trigger everything and justify throwing everything away to fight. Unfortunately they always do a little bit at a time and we slow boil as we hold out hope that it can be resolved peacefully. The "insurrection" at the capitol was our high ground moment where we could have actually done something but we gave the system every possible opportunity to correct itself. Now we will be fighting an uphill battle. The good thing is, once everyone is oppressed and has almost nothing left to lose, it will motivate more people to act without guilt or remorse.
