I wonder. If they impeached him, and he pardoned Assange at the last minute, could they use that as an excuse to invalidate the pardon?
Legally, probably not.
But does the legality of it really matter if they can just do what they want anyway?
If he gets impeached and convicted he might be barred from running again + he would loose his security detail (thus would be open to assassination).
