Lmao he didn’t lie. That’s the literal fucking point of the protest-to put pressure on Pence/whoever. If there was a plan to reject the votes, a protest wouldn’t be necessary. Again, it was intended to put pressure on him/congress. Trump said/tweeted several times about this, wondering if Pence would show courage on the 6th. There was never any indication of a set in stone plan.

You poor misinformed little girl. You really should try keeping up with the news. I shall help you. Trump issued a statement on the day before the Jan 6 Count "Do not believe the fake news that VP is refusing to reject votes. We are both absolutely on the same page that the has Constitutional authority to reject votes."

This was a LIE. They NOT not on the same page. Pence directly told Trump he was not gonna reject.

Trump's quote says that both agree about Pence HAVING the Constitutional authority. He never said they both agreed about Pence USING said authority. That's why people are mad that Pence betrayed him. I don't think it was a lie.

Surely Trump must have had a sit-down with Judas Pence and asked him straight up, " Look we got all this fraud being ignored by Courts. You are my VP. I want you to reject. Are you gonna reject the votes? Yes or No? What is your answer? ".

Pence would have told him, "No, I won't do it. I don't believe the VP has the Constitutional power. " No way Pence lies to Trump and then wimps out.

Trump LIED about it because the truth is too embarrassing. The truth was that He had a VP that won't go along with his strategy of rejecting. Would not even reject and let the chips fall where they may -- it may have been struck down any way.

I agree that Pence probably didn't lie. But in my mind, he probably said something like "No Donald, I may technically have authority but it's never been done and if this strategy doesn't work out my public career will be over. Let me think and pray about it." So Trump tries to drum up public support & pressure by tweeting about how sure they are about having Constitutional authority and that Pence should do the right thing. I still remember Trump saying in a speech in Georgia "if Mike doesn't come through, I won't like him as much". That doesn't spell 100% confidence and obviously he was not afraid to admit this in public (i.e. IMHO Trump didn't lie to us).
