It looks like Mitch is bent on CONVICTING. A conviction would bar Trump from ever running in 2024.

Mitch has already been re-elected for another six years.

MItch has nothing to lose. This is his opportunity to put Trump away forever. Would not be surprised to see a conviction. Mitch needs 16 Republicans to join the 50 (D) votes.
