Never understood the appeal of these types of strategy games.

It's cartoony and non kinetic. I just don't get it. I love SupCom, love CoH, love Broodwar, love X3 Terran Conflict... I just can't get into games like these.

Anyone who's made the transition care to explain what hooked them?
