I wasn't dumping on the TP which as we both know was co-opted then hobbled, but you are 100% correct that it has morphed into MAGA only now with the swag of the Trump brand and a much clearer vision. Indeed. The Tea Party was what first activated me in politics. I remember watching that first election night, and finding out that 68 Tea Party candidates made it into the House, and commies at work are still furious about them. It was glorious.
