I was faithful for 35 years. Every time the doors opened to vote, I was there voting straight ticket Republican. And although my donations weren't massive, they were sacrificial. No more! On Jan 6, I went online and changed my voter registration from Republican to unaffiliated. Also, I've unsubscribed from their emails several times. The assholes aren't very organized apparently. Now it's time to think about me. I care about my family and what I can do for their provision, protection, and pursuit of happiness.

You know OP, I got a divorce after 40 years.
I wrote a letter to my local GOP volunteer, and have pasted it below, to share my own feelings. Name redacted. (start of letter)
Thanks to the betrayal of the Entire Republican Party to turn their back on Election Fraud, Voter Fraud and Ballot Fraud, I am ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED by the Uniparty approach to governance.
Additionally the Big Tech censorship that Republicans In Name Only has only talked about (but accomplished nothing to reign in) means that voices can be silenced just like that. This is totalitarianism, even to cancel the President with his 88 million followers on Twitter, cancel Brandon Straka who was so instrumental in bringing many former Democrats to the Republican side.
I have been a Republican my entire life - since 1980 when I voted for Ronald Reagan. I have decided to abandon the Republican Party, as they no longer stand for the Republic, only their selfish, corrupt Big Business interests. I have changed my registration, and plan to participate in whatever Resistance movement arises from the shambles of the past fraudulent election.
Please remove me from all mailing lists, and forward this letter to whoever may find it of interest. With all the fraud I have witnessed, there is no more consent of the governed, we are in uncharted territory now, and will not be surprised should the United States become just a Federation of Oligarchies, as it already has.
I would like to wish you well but realize you are part of the Problem. Not part of the Solution. I will look for leadership elsewhere.
Sincerely, scooterdog, former Republican
