I used to be firmly against the idea of secession. Now that the US is effectively defunct, I guess it wouldn't really be secession at this point if states just broke away to do their own thing. The Constitution is void. The SCOTUS is irrelevant. Voting doesn't matter. Politicians and their minions are never held accountable. The media and corporations that support them can do and say whatever they want without consequences. Yup, this is what a totalitarian oligarchy looks like. And if that's what this country has become, then it in no way is the US any longer. And to be fair, it hasn't been for quite some time. Trump was the last hope, and the best he could do was drag out the corrupt mess into the light for at least some of us to see.
