Yeah... my dad is a rabid CNN watcher and he fits the bill.
That said, when the government, entertainment, social media, the media are all on the same side, there's no real argument that they're the "resistance".
Older people tend to fall hardest for the media's lies, in my experience. They've had decades more of being conditioned to see the media as this noble authority than we have, and have never had a good, "reputable" source of information in their lives. They're even nervous about believing a lot of stuff online, even from reputable sources, since they spent decades learning to be skeptical about stuff put online.
There are very few things that actually frighten me, but this does. Propaganda and brainwashing scares me to death because it works and almost anyone over 65 is proof of that.
I'm a Boomer and I don't buy into any of that [email protected] As well as many of my Boomer frens. However, we seem to be in the minority of our generation. Those over 70 are just aged hippies from the 60's.
I don't think Q believers are that numerous, they are just loud. I've never met one in person but I do get the impression they are on the older side of millennials for the most part.
lol. Saying only people over 65 are susceptible to propaganda is propaganda and shows that the person who states this is susceptible. Then they will tell you "Q LARP" was all Boomers. OK where's the proof propaganda boy? lol
So are you going to criticize people for generalizing that there is more crime in the black community?
Have you ever been to one of their Q rallies? Go. Look how many of them are over 50. Over 60. Talk to them, ask them how many of their compatriots are in that age range. Why are you mad at someone for rather accurately generalizing that Q anon are more likely to be over 65 than under?
Or, more accurately, they are more likely than the general population to be boomers.
To suggest otherwise shows how little you know about them. I deal with these people, unfortunately, every day. I know, intimately, how much damage they’ve done to our country. Yes, their demographic skews older.
What makes you think I am mad. That conclusion implies that maybe you aren't confident in what you are saying. All I did was question your conclusion.
Again, you are talking pure anecdote. I deal with Boomers every day and Q never comes up so you see, this is not evidence of anything and is merely a generalization based on a very limited dataset.
Why would I criticize people for saying blacks commit more crime when it is a verifiable fact? That's not generalized. There are data that bear that out without doubt. If you said, well I deal with lots of black people all the time and they've never been anything but law abiding so you're wrong. Doesn't work.
It's absolutely astonishing. I know guys in their late 60's and early 70's who were high-level executives, lawyers, doctors, etc. Guys who built successful businesses, own multiple homes, all that stuff. And they're buying into the scamdemic 100%. I mean, some of these guys are scared to death of the coof, won't travel, don't see their grandkids, and can't wait to take an experimental vaccine based on a technology platform never used before and that ended up killing the test animals it was used on. If anyone had told me ten years ago that even half of this craziness would exist today, I would have concluded they were on LSD or PCP or something.
I play in a rec baseball league. And guys look at the weather network every week and send group chat messages about "they say a huge storm is coming; storm watch, maybe we should preemptively cancel".
This happens every other week, year after year. I always point out that the weather network always says a huge storm is incoming and yet 90% of the time the weather is perfectly fine.
And then next week the same exact "debate" comes up.
If people can't figure out that a website solely driven by clicks from people checking for storm news, will call for a possible storm every other day, how can they possibly apply logic to something as vague as covid. It's hopeless. All you can do is raise your children to look at things truly objectively. And maybe now and then red pill a friend into using logic and reason instead of "news".
It's funny isn't it? Normies are really bad at recognizing anti-patterns. Forever fooled by alarmist weather reports. Ever notice how weather networks boast about accurate forecasts yet their alarmist mega storms never happen? That's because 5-7 days out they report the alarmist model then 1-2 days out they'll switch to the "accurate" one and count that and not the former in their accuracy score. Very few seem to recognize this.
My dad is one of the smartest people I’ve ever known and was a brilliant thinker until the last 5 years. Even my ultra-liberal brother agrees that CNN has ruined my dad and he needs to turn off the fucking TV.
CNN was literally the we-hate-Trump channel for 4 years straight. I am not sure how anyone could not notice that. News orgs have become entirely, overtly opinion-based.
I struggle to see how people so smart can be so easily subverted. I’ve seen that happen in my friend circle as well, and I never allow people to talk shit around me. I think a true patriot grassroots movement begins with us transforming the libtards around us
There was a study that concluded, that most cognitive biases correlate negatively (are rarer) with education and intelligence, but one cognitive bias, the tendency to hold double standards, does not correlate at all with intelligence or education. I think that most of the weird stuff we're seeing is because of that.
Traditionally, there was a strong culture of trying to strive for "objectivity" among intellectuals, but nowadays it has diminished, and that has amplified the effect. Postmodern philosophy even states that objective facts don't exist, there are only different kinds of "narratives" and "social constructions".
There are actual studies on propaganda and its effect on people. Level of intelligence is not a bulwark against it. There is no difference in how smart someone is and propaganda success rate.
I'm willing to bet there is an opposite correlation of those who are educated in history tho.
If you know what you believe, why you believe it, and have a strong set of immutable core principles by which you strive to live your life, that goes a long way toward being resistant to propaganda. This is largely independent of intelligence (barring any obvious mental handicap). It is also something religion provides, and why Marxists hate it so much.
Interesting. Would appreciate any sauce on the studies you're aware of. It makes sense objectively based on observations, including about the opposite correlation.
Boomers come from era of greater opportunities, when it was easier to build a career like that and create wealth with a more moderate level of talent. Millennials won't get those opportunities.
Sure retards exists in all age groups but the old retards are less likely to be able to navigate the internet to end up redpilled. They aren't getting any actual facts because all or at least most of their "information" is straight propaganda from channels they've been conditioned to watch 4 hours a day and take as fact. Heck even some old republicans who claim to not be sheep are still watching absolute trash like faux news. So though younger retards are louder, there is much more of a chance of them being redeemed through the internet and thus they somehow end not as gullible overall. Part of why political censorship on the internet is so important for the cucks.
What gets me is how these channels talk so long without mentioning any details at all.
Instead of saying:"Democrat NY AG Letitia James has made it her mission to sue Trump. She got his veteran charity closed because, even though all the money went to veterans, James concluded it gave his campaign good publicity."
They just repeat over & over "Trump is being sued in NY for charity fraud." So they bring this expert who can't even name names or specify details. Then the host just parrots back without asking for names for several minutes.
All I'm saying is that older people have real world experience.
They know things like: if it sounds too good to be true, it is
and that socialism/communism never work, and yes, they HAVE been tried and the end result is oppression and death.
Younger people may live in absolute vacuums and be totally ignorant of history.
Try a little social experiment yourself. Ask a young person anything historical, then ask an older person.
That being said, I agree somewhat with your assertion that older people may be indoctrinated to trust the news more, but my own father is 70ish and uses the internet just fine. His wife is even better at it and texts and uses a smartphone even better than he does, but perhaps its just because (no misogyny here) women are more communicative by nature.
I think there are far more outliers in older generations though, people who understood individualism and questioning everything than there are young people who seem to feel like everything they read on whatever site is true and that they know better than everyone else because they are "clued in"
You have some good points. And well I'm in my twenties now so I'll admit to being a little biased in saying it would be easier to redpill the young. And of course it always depends person to person. Obviously anyone here is capable enough to use the internet, so I'm not referring to old people in general. But still an old leftist who is somehow still leftwing is way less likely to change than a young leftist. Them not navigating the internet as well plays a huge part of that because it makes them harder to reach. And not to mention they are probably less open to change in general if they are still a leftist at that point.
But also to get to your point about them having more real world experience....many of the older generations have not experienced the true insanity of regressives to the extent that younger generations are right now. In fact I'd actually argue young people these days have MORE real world experience at least when it comes to the absolute insanity of Marxism and regressives in their daily lives.
Not to go on a tangent but for example anyone who has been in highschool or college within the past 5 years or even decade can tell you the insanity of 3rd/4th wave feminazism. I was in college and was getting brainwashed. I didn't actually care about politics but I believed what professors would say and didn't take it as brainwashing. The whole "matrix of oppression" shit was something my college ingrained regardless of major, you weren't gonna be able to avoid required courses that promoted these ideas. But though I bought into racial and wealth class marxist tenets what I could not get behind were the feminist ones. I was already too aware of insane feminists. False rape accusations, hypocrisy about "objectification" theory, wage gap myth, all this other shit. I remember everyone I went to school with would spam buzzfeed clickbait articles spreading dumbass manhating shit. But these were the type of people around. The whining, the gaslighting and just overall being despicable people. Shit pissed me off and is a huge part of how I did not end up leftist and ended up redpilled in 2016 despite still being in a propaganda pushing college.
But also these shit feminazi ideologies are now everywhere in our social life at this point even after college and it is actually having hugely devastating ramifications for culture as a whole. Look at the record-breaking low marriage and birthrates for millenials. It will get even worse for zoomers. There are of course multiple reasons for this but one huge one is the insanity of feminazism extremism and Marxism in general. Propaganda that encourages women to bash men is everywhere. Shit that claims men are rapists for saying goodmorning to a woman in the workplace is out there. "Toxic Masculinity" is anything that doesn't encourage you to be an unattractive wimp. You are mansplaining if a woman asks you directions to a location and you answer her, but you are also sexist if you don't explain anything to her. All this shit is insanity that hasn't been addressed and results in a dysfunctional social landscape where half the population is hostile towards or hesitant to interact with the other half due to bullshit.
And this is just the radical feminism aspect, I'm not even talking about the racism or commie sympathizing that has been propped up by the cucks. TL;DR Even if older generations have more knowledge of the consequences of these ideas through history, you can't deny that younger generations are experiencing types of bullshit that would be unthinkable in the past. That's another reason I say younger leftists are more redpillable than older leftists overall, despite being louder and more annoying because they end up with the most consequences from the shit. Older leftists are a level of delusional that will be less likely to change.
It got around. We all knew about Chicago election fraud and Nixon for instance. We knew about propaganda from Kennedy's assassination (the media blaming everyday people in Texas for it when the shooter was a communist)...
My red pill of choice is the ABC News clip showing an invasion of Syria that actually turned out to be footage from a gun range in Kentucky, taken several years earlier.
The whole point was to make Trump out to be reckless for bringing troops home. It was all an intentional lie to renew war and put US troops back into potential conflict situations. I show that to people and if they don't drop their jaw at the disregard for human life, and the insane lengths to make Trump look bad, then I basically never discuss politics or news with them again. Just change the subject immediately.
It's weird-- you'll see people laughing about things they see the media do, like those flood pics where the reporter's standing in a hole to make the flooding look worse than it is, but never ask themselves what else they'd lie about.
Back in my day, before the internet, the saying was: "Don't believe everything you see on TV." And I took that to heart (Then I worked in it for 25 years after that)
The news actually does warn people to not believe them, they just don't use those words... they use words like...
"Remember, it’s illegal to possess these stolen documents. It’s different for the media, so everything you learn about this you’re learning from us." -Fredo Cuomo, CNN
"Well, I think that the dangerous, you know, edges here are that he is trying to undermine the media and trying to make up his own facts. And it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think. And that, that is our job." -Mika Brzezinski, MSNBC
<insert picture of Anderson Cooper (faggot) standing in a hole to make it look like the flood water is deeper than it actually is.>
<insert picture of Weather Channel faggot pretending to fight imaginary wind during hurricane as people casually stroll by in the background, unmolested.>
<insert picture of CNN faggot standing in front of burning buildings and rioting mob claiming that it's just a peaceful protest.>
and as an added bonus!
"We have put together, I think, the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics." -Joe Biden, right before stealing an election with the help of the MSM
This is very important. People around 50+ grew up in a time where the news was respected, and informative. They haven't noticed the decline nor will they ever. The left weaponized the media and bought two generations with it.
I woke up today to an email from an ex-girlfriend who had recently started communicating with me again. She was concerned over my mental health and cited that I can't go 3 sentences without delving into some "conspiracy theory".
In her reality, my strongly held beliefs are false and therefore I must need mental help for believing them.
You are only crazy if you find yourself incapable of self reflection. For example, can you ask yourself fairly "maybe we are wrong?" and play the Devil's Advocate to look at what you believe critically?
Then you aren't crazy.
What makes crazy people crazy us when they cannot realize they are crazy and become incapable of self actualization. We definitely have crazies here, typically the really fucking out there conspiracy theorists telling about Chinese space lasers, who outright reject more rational explanations in favor of evidenceless extreme weirdo shit.
Wanna think about something terrifying? We may be headed towards a place where she can anonymously tattle on you to the nanny state for having "dangerous" political views so you can be red-flagged in a database operated by faceless, unelected administrators and you'll never be allowed to own a firearm again.
Oh, I'm pretty sure I'm on a bunch of lists already and she's just one of many who would tattle on me. I'm in SoCal and surrounded by them, and I've never been shy about calling out their BS. When they come for us, I'll be towards the front of the line.
You are only crazy if you find yourself incapable of self reflection. For example, can you ask yourself fairly "maybe we are wrong?" and play the Devil's Advocate to look at what you believe critically?
We knew it sucked but the media tried a little bit more to be honest. They'd crop out the communist flags at a protest rather than claiming in the article that the communists were anti fascists protesting white supremacists.
It's funny to ask them on where the propaganda is coming from. Like, they'll sputter about Fox News, except we don't watch Fox. Was it Twitter? We're all banned. Same with YouTube, Facebook, etc.
So if we're the brainwashed ones, where is the brainwashing coming from?
Which they do anyway with absolutely no proof of significant indisputable patterns. Meanwhile, you can show the overwhelming indisputable proof, and patterns with video evidence of another race/ethnicity or group, and they’ll say it’s a lie, and call you a racist. 🤡🌎 When are you going to learn to stop caring about optics or the consequences of telling the truth, when you are constantly demonetized, demoralized, and demonized until you are no longer considered human for just trying to exist, and be left alone to be free and prosper?
When I say you "might as well blame it on white people" I'm throwing facts your way. As a hardcore Leftist, you are responding with victimhood mentality and race baiting / blaming.
You don't belong on this site. This is a conservative website.
For every Soros there is a Bill Gates or Maxine Waters.
Yup, and this is another example of one of the rights fatal flaws of ignoring and refusing to live in the reality that is. The groups you speak of are made up of a bunch of individuals who think, and believe most, if not all, of the same bullshit that actually goes against, and destroys Big R God given human rights. Stop living your life by the exception to the rule instead of the rule. The exceptions to the rule are being used to systematically displace and even destroy us. I don’t see how you can’t see that after the events of at least the last year.
You better wake up buttercup before you can’t because they killed you in your sleep. 😞
I actually totally agree with you but think assigning a religion/culture to it achieves nothing. The problem is the world bankers and other top figures who instigate wars and fake pandemics to saddle countries with debt. If a disproportionate number of them have one culture or religion it doesn't really matter. You could "ban" a religion and it would not take away one ounce of their power.
See you will never achieve anything other than getting banned and ignored. "H man" was a psychopathic murderer who probably would have given us nuclear winter if his scientists were faster than our scientists. If the problem was world bankers, his solution was about the most empowering thing you could possibly do. Nearly every nation on earth left WWII in massive debt. To who?? Killing women that work in a bakery, whether it was 10 or 10 million is insane and you are either communicating poorly or are insane yourself. Thank God this site has no tolerance for this shit that people would use to justify punching 75 year old Trump supporters laying in bed in a nursing home.
Most people you show this to will believe they and their tribe are 2) while the other is 1).
In reality, 2) describes people who realize everything is broken and the entire system is rigged to fuck us all to the benefit of the elite, while 1) describes people who still buy the political dichotomy.
Ex friend is of mine turned into the most TDS riddled fag over the last four years. One of the smartest guys I know who coincidentally had the most “education” out of the entire group. He wholeheartedly believes I am brainwashed. He linked me a garbage news article about how even smart people are susceptible to brainwashing. The irony was of course lost on him.
Ask him to name one of Trump's numerous peace deals in the middle east. In 3 seconds it will be obvious he can't.
"Yeah funny your news didn't help you with that. Hey so Trump enacted a big justice reform bill. Can you name me a single part of it? No? Wow that's really disturbing don't you think? I mean you said you support BLM. Wouldn't you have been very interested in what it contained?"
Similar to the election issues lawsuits... they do have one thing (dominion) but have no idea about any other issues such as election observers, signature checks, that no audits were done despite our calls for them...
Then there was the harassment of Trump's lawyers. Third world bs right there.
Unpopular opinion? Don't flatter yourself. The pro-Q posters in here are the brave ones because they know they'll take flak. You're preaching to the choir. "Unpopular opinion?" Fuck off.
Yes, this issue transcends the left/right. Most people on both sides are religious and that's the same damn controlling nonsense, it's just older so they think it's better.
Religion, as you call it, is a code of laws. When you say "religious," you mean specifically Christianity. Fixed laws are not controlling. They are rules which are not subject to change, unlike an overbearing tyranny. As a former atheist, I can tell you that those rules are much like the physical laws of nature. They are simply truths: Don't murder, don't steal, don't screw around with women to whom you aren't married, etc. If you look at it honestly and objective, you will see that Christians, particularly the more devout ones, live better and happier lives. The idea of being "Good without God" is one that most honest atheists eventually realize is not true. Look around the world. Look at history. Every atheistic society is an awful tyranny that no reasonable atheist wants to live in. The Soviet Union was wonderful according to the western atheists who did not live there. Those that did, were desperate to leave. There is a reason that Christianity has lasted for thousands of years, while Civilizations have risen and perished. It's because it is true.
I think I agree for the most part. People say there are morals without Christianity (for example) and that is true but if I am starving and you dangle food in front of me that belongs to someone else I am going to take that food. Period. Unless I am so abnormal that self-preservation means little to me or I fear the wrath of God. Nobody always does good at every turn just because that's how they are. That is not human nature.
You are making another point about having laws over you. What a lot of people fail to understand is that constraints actually can bring about good things. As a musician this took me a while to figure out but endless possibilities in an ever changing environment is not good for creativity or creation AT ALL. Having equipment that is lacking or limited in some way forces you to being creativity into play and benefits the entire process usually. It is counterintuitive but absolute freedom is not exactly freedom. Constraints, within reason, are beneficial as long as my natural rights are not being violated.
I would call the EU largely atheist and everyone seems to love it. However, they can't seem to sustain themselves without schemes to divert American money their way. If there was no America to bail them out of debt and war then I'd agree that nobody wants to live in an atheist society.
I would call the EU largely atheist and everyone seems to love it.
The EU was established in a Christian society, but it is not even 30 years old and is already breaking up. Clearly, not everyone loves it. The leadership loves it because it allows them to wield international power and fell important. Brexit is a pretty clear indication that not everyone loves the very short-lived EU.
As Europe becomes more "secular," it becomes clear that it is having problems. When even the God-hating Dawkins admits that getting rid of Christianity is destroying society, you know that something is wrong with their secular society.
Oddly, both Bill Maher and Dawkins are now admitting that they were wrong to lump Christianity in with Islam. The most tolerant society is a Christian one.
We have a two hundred year example, in America, of the greatest country on the face of the Earth that was founded on Christianity. As we move away from that foundation, our country will suffer and die. Christianity, however, will live on, and the nations that embrace it, will take their place as the leaders of the world, just as America once did.
As I see it, Christianity is unique in that aspect as well. It is the belief system of the dominant nations of the Earth. It always has been, ever since it took over in Rome. That is yet more evidence for the uniqueness of it. Why does it succeed? If not God, then why?
I'll admit this is true, but there has never been a truly secular society. The ones you are talking about replaced God with their own tyrants. Christopher Hitchens puts it way better than I ever could: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRhczvtmbWE
When you say "religious," you mean specifically Christianity
No, I mean any religion. I very much dislike Islam, Judaism, even Buddhism. Any set of beliefs that has a claim to the truth without evidence is inherently harmful because it perpetuates the idea that you can believe something for absolutely no real reason and that it is something to be respected. 'Faith', or belief in something despite lack of evidence, is a sickness.
They are simply truths: Don't murder, don't steal, don't screw around with women to whom you aren't married, etc.
These are reflections of our biological empathy, which is a survival trait since cooperation increases chances of survival. If the bible said murder was okay, would you think it was okay? No, because you don't get your morality from the bible. It comes from within you. As an atheist, I can rape and murder all that I want, and that amount is zero. If you need belief in a punishing God to stop you, then you need some help and we need to protect others from you.
There is a reason that Christianity has lasted for thousands of years, while Civilizations have risen and perished. It's because it is true.
If that is true, then the same holds for many other religions that lasted even longer. Just because an idea is old doesn't make it true. The reason you "chose" Christianity is most likely because of who you were born to and where you grew up.
I'll admit this is true, but there has never been a truly secular society.
This sounds like the excuse that the Communists always use. There hasn't been a perfectly Christian or capitalistic society either, but as we get closer to those, things get better. A belief in a mythical secular utopia sounds a bit like unrealistic faith to me, in all honesty.
If that is true, then the same holds for many other religions that lasted even longer.
Let's be a little scientific and honest here. Christianity has spread around the world, across cultures, languages, and regions. It is the most successful of all religions and the only serious competitor, Islam, is a bastardization of Christianity. Together, they make up vast majority of religious adherents in the world. Christianity as the fulfillment of Judaism (You might not understand that, if you have not studied it) is many thousands of years old, and I would not compare it to a handful of tree worshippers who claim to have some vague ancient origins. In reality, there are only two universal religions and one is a perversion of the other.
If religion is a matter of where you grow up, how did Christianity spread around the globe? At some point, you have to admit that there is something different about Christianity that makes it more successful. When you explore that fact (no faith involved there), you will come to the truth.
Any set of beliefs that has a claim to the truth without evidence is inherently harmful because it perpetuates the idea that you can believe something for absolutely no real reason and that it is something to be respected. 'Faith', or belief in something despite lack of evidence, is a sickness.
Absolutely nothing that I have said has required any faith whatsoever. It is all solid evidence. My beliefs are not grounded in faith, but observable reality. I came to believe in God because Christianity is demonstrably true. The only faith required is to believe that which can not be understood by human means, but everyone relies on that kind of faith every day.
You go to a doctor whose word you take because you have evidence that he knows what he is talking about. You have faith that what he says is true, but the reality is that you have no evidence for believing that this or that medicine will cure you. The same goes for your computer, car, or other technological device that you use. That kind of faith is everywhere.
If that is true, then the same holds for many other religions that lasted even longer.
I don't know about that. Without an immigration policy such as we have how would those other religions have even come here to any real extent. You can say Hinduism has lasted for example but it really hasn't spread. Compare that to Christianity that spread and was accepted the world over and has lasted even where it was somewhat forced onto the conquered. Do you know anyone who is Islam not for tradition but because it makes their life better and makes life on the whole earth better and more peaceful. Fuck no. These long other religions last a long time because they don't distinguish between culture, politics and religion whereas those are all separate here or for the most part.
Also let's recognize that Christianity has survived despite the constant battle against it for the last 2000 years. With a few exception most other religions have been largely left alone or have declined.
None of this proves Christianity is true of course but I simply dispute that other religions share something in common with Christianity.
Christianity has only been around for ~2000 years, Judaism a thousand years before that. How far it's spread isn't a good argument either, as Islam is even more popular than Christianity.
If arguments from popularity are a good reason to believe something then should we ignore the evidence of voter fraud? If arguments from age are a good reason to believe something, then maybe we should go back to God's chosen people and become Jews?
My atheism is all based on what good reasons there are to believe something. The more evidence I have for something the more confidence I have in it existing. I see all religions as equally unlikely because there is no evidence, only claims that are unfalsifiable and gaps in knowledge that are constantly shrinking.
That is very unscientific. It's like saying that there is no difference between a champion of a sport and someone off the street. Christianity has led and, I would say, created the dominant societies in the world. The scientific revolution happened under Christianity during the Italian Renaissance at the heart of the Catholic Church. It didn't happen under Islam, Hinduism, or atheism. Christianity has led the developed world and it always will. Islam, in case you didn't know, is simply a perversion of Christianity. They just took Christianity and denied some of its truths.
It isn't just science either. How much of the greatest art is Christian? Where are the beautiful atheistic works of art?
You probably know this but evidence is not a part of religion at all. It's faith and faith cannot be perfect in light of piles of evidence. So if you are looking of evidence of religion you will never find it and will never accept it. Sort of a foregone conclusion.
Anyway, I am not saying longevity itself is proof of anything. I thought I expressed what other factors come into play. I certainly said nothing about popularity because that is meaningless and sort of ridiculous when you talk about Islam, a religion that does not allow you to think it unpopular without dire consequences. It seems like you are looking at sheer numbers of Muslims and concluding popularity and you just can't do that with Islam. In terms of saying why don't we all just become Jewish - that entirely misses the point of Christianity. Not trying to shit on you at all but in my experience the people who talk against religion rarely understand the actual religion, its history, or its texts. Based on your Jewish comment that seems like it might be the case here.
As a scientist I do understand you views on evidence and unfalsifiable claims but I reiterate that, while science and religion do not conflict for me, they are not the same and evidence only belongs to one of them. Christ said, "whoever has faith in me," not whoever is convinced by evidence of me. Vastly vastly different.
How far it has spread is somewhat important. How did Islam spread? Violent takeover and submission. How did Christianity spread (though I realize there were some negative things at time)? The people heard about it and decided they wanted it often despite being then persecuted in their own country. Just like with the left and their ideals, anything that cannot stand on it's own merits but must be forced on you is not a legitimate ideal. The whole gospel of Christ is based on choice.
Anyway, good discussion. We can agree to disagree.
[Actual] religion and politics being separated does tend to make most people mentally healthier imo. Melding the two (like the left) creates a lot more unhinged people.
Yeah and ask any of these people with blinders if they are happy and successful in life. I doubt you will get many yes's. They are angry and always want more. And you are right they are blind. They have no idea the character and history of Biden or Harris and yet claim to have intimate knowledge of the world and it's history. Yeah, not buying any of that, they are all ignorant fucks. The only immigrants who hate on us are those who's parents came here and they were raised here like Kumala Harris or Omar. They don't understand the world or this country and yet have plenty to say about it and plenty of power to change it all.
I was an NPC and part of #1. It's not that I accept propaganda and want to be controlled, it's just that I didn't pay attention to any of it.
So in April when I got covid furloughed and started watching the news it lead me to want to watch a covid presser where Trump was about to speak and showed a video instead. CNN cut away calling it propaganda. MSNBC did the same thing. So I watched online for myself. Sure enough Trump was using video proof of things and it made me feel wow so Trump, the joke candidate is the one telling the truth and the "news" is the one trying to stop the truth from getting out.
I dare say the fact that I had gone decades without paying attention to the news made me immune to the news. It probably makes the immigrants immune who haven't seen the news the past 5 years.
Welcome. Yeah the whole HCQ thing alone should have red pilled millions. Maybe it did. Long time proven preventative drug. Turned into the most controversial, deadly, pseudo-science the moment it seems it could have helped.
People have always been like this. The Israelites begged God for a King. God just wanted them to be free to run their own lives in their tribes with the laws he gave them.
This story has always struck me. The natural order that god wants for us is freedom. Yet we continue to self sabotage ourselves. The US is a prime example. A “free” nation with no income tax and supported by tariffs until the early 1900’s when everyone decided that income taxes were a good idea - essentially turning us into slaves.
We haven't been free in a while. Tracked everywhere we go, tracked on everything we look at online, tracked with all of our purchases, tracked even walking down the road by CCTV. We have a perception of freedom that is hollow in reality.
The natural order that god wants for us is freedom. Yet we continue to self sabotage ourselves.
Do you think it stems from weak and lazy people being afraid of making their own decisions, thus, not having to be responsible for their terrible decisions?
No, it was communists like Wilson convincing people to “tax the rich” via an income tax. Income at the time was defined as returns on investments, not money earned through labor.
It all started with Woodrow Wilson. He also ushered in the Federal Reserve Bank. Makes me wonder if he was one of the original kiddy fuckers, but back then it was enough of a scandal to just be cheating on your wife.
Nope. God wanted to be their king while using a prophetic mediator like what he was doing before Saul became king. The Israelites didn't want an invisible king in the sky but a human king.
There is a theory that as technology advances, the brains ability to retain information diminishes just out the of the simple fact you can google anything you want. That and standardized education has created generations of idiots. They don't know a thing about history, if they do it's just in large contexts; WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, and that all war is bad. Followed with an inability to utilize critical thinking skills. We're doomed.
You can tell the people who are still in the Matrix, because when you tell them about it, they call you a retard. Makes for an easy way to separate the wheat from the chaff.
The conditioning is very real and very pervasive. It will take time and effort to undo its effects. It's easy to ridicule those who are blinded, especially when they're hateful to us, but try. Try to help them see what's real. Try to help them shed the shroud.
Oh my God I am 57 years old and I know people older than me who still believe the propaganda! This is a total nightmare they’ve been hypnotized by the fake news!
I have never been more convinced of this fact until now for obvious reasons. You can feel it (pity) when talking to someone that just does what they are told and feels how they are told to feel.
Yes, we are. Especially when those people will allow the government to inject weird things into them, and they will definitely end up getting a chip in the back of their hand, or their forehead. I’m believing all of the predictions in Revelations are true, because they predicted exactly what Dan Stevens just laid out.
Aristotle referred to group number 1 as a "natural slaves". That is, those who would be better served in life being told what to do, rather than making their own choices.
You can show this to some people and they will think 1) refers to Trump supporters.
Yeah... my dad is a rabid CNN watcher and he fits the bill.
Uh...are you forgetting the Q larp? You think only boomers are susceptible to propaganda?
I'm a Boomer and I don't buy into any of that [email protected] As well as many of my Boomer frens. However, we seem to be in the minority of our generation. Those over 70 are just aged hippies from the 60's.
MAGA 4ever
I don't think Q believers are that numerous, they are just loud. I've never met one in person but I do get the impression they are on the older side of millennials for the most part.
Boomer! Why do you self-censor the word crap?? lol
He said Q shit is almost all boomers, not that almost all boomers are into the Q shit.
And not everyone I know who followed it believed it. They treated it as a larp.... secret decoder ring in your cereal box fun.
I don’t know about your reasoning; how many 65+ boomers are internet-savvy enough to make up the Q base? My sense is that Q skews millennial.
Weird beliefs are different phenomenon than propaganda.
Q is literally 90% old boomer women posting bible quotes out of context.
This is profound in its simplicity. And, accuracy.
Don't over think it. They just aren't actually smart. Mid-wits successfully disguised as smart but clown world brought out their real identity.
Wow, welcome back, han asshole solo. I know y u hate XiNN.
Are you the real Han Asshole Solo?
No
There are actual studies on propaganda and its effect on people.
60-70 year olds are much higher risk than under 60.
I couldn't care less if I get it but I do not want my mother to (70's).
Boomers come from era of greater opportunities, when it was easier to build a career like that and create wealth with a more moderate level of talent. Millennials won't get those opportunities.
65 here, tuned out MSM before you were born. But carry on!
He’s also German, so that might influence his perception of your age group.
Ever heard of the saying the "exception that proves the rule" ?
age does not denote susceptibility. if anything 20 somethings are far more gullible because they LACK real world experience.
Politicians and media are good at running their mouths without actually saying anything.
I think there are far more outliers in older generations though, people who understood individualism and questioning everything than there are young people who seem to feel like everything they read on whatever site is true and that they know better than everyone else because they are "clued in"
Yep... the culture has even changed such that today's young people will not learn as they get older.
Minding your own busines... pretty much out
Knowing to not talk about what you dont know.. out
Positive spin off of the above... willing to ask questions dispite it being a give away you are not a expert (to learn)... also out
You have some good points.
Yep, the news always pushes “Don’t believe what people say on the internet” but they never say “don’t believe what people say in the news”
Not just footage from a gun range, CROPPED footage from a gun range to hide the people and their phones.
We got all these fact checks saying we are right! 🙄
Funny, I don't feel crazy.
Agreed. I try to do a self-check every morning. I usually pass.
Then you aren't crazy
Don't admit to having guns. :)
Red flag.... laws.
We knew it sucked but the media tried a little bit more to be honest. They'd crop out the communist flags at a protest rather than claiming in the article that the communists were anti fascists protesting white supremacists.
Bullshit, whippersnapper....ok... maybe on people over 70... but not me
It's funny to ask them on where the propaganda is coming from. Like, they'll sputter about Fox News, except we don't watch Fox. Was it Twitter? We're all banned. Same with YouTube, Facebook, etc.
So if we're the brainwashed ones, where is the brainwashing coming from?
YouTube
^ joke... but the left was starting that meme up
Oy
Defining a group as guilty or innocent is something leftists do. Individual responsibility is what we do.
Just as easy to blame white people.
No, you are a Leftist using Leftist logic.
Note to pedes: These two shills are playing off each other.
Hey! Watch it. Outgoing President Trump made that kind of talk illegal.
No Anti-Semitism Allowed.
That is trump's biggest flaw. These people hated him; they would lie about him even if he extended an olive branch to them.
in other words, SHUT IT DOWN!!
Your dad is retarded.
The real resistance isn't who needs 25,000 troops to defend them, either....
Yeah, that's why we're fucked.
Most people you show this to will believe they and their tribe are 2) while the other is 1).
In reality, 2) describes people who realize everything is broken and the entire system is rigged to fuck us all to the benefit of the elite, while 1) describes people who still buy the political dichotomy.
I'm just glad I'm not alone anymore.
Damn, good catch. I guess this proves I'm 1).
It does, sadly.
Cue "Q".
Unpopular opinion, but that shit is just cancer. A damn cult.
Unpopular opinion? Don't flatter yourself. The pro-Q posters in here are the brave ones because they know they'll take flak. You're preaching to the choir. "Unpopular opinion?" Fuck off.
Ok then Q, was the plan for Trump to fail to deal with voter fraud and lose the office of the President? Because that's a dumbass plan.
If that is true, then the same holds for many other religions that lasted even longer. Just because an idea is old doesn't make it true. The reason you "chose" Christianity is most likely because of who you were born to and where you grew up.
This sounds like the excuse that the Communists always use. There hasn't been a perfectly Christian or capitalistic society either, but as we get closer to those, things get better. A belief in a mythical secular utopia sounds a bit like unrealistic faith to me, in all honesty.
I have no idea where you get your information, but Islam is not more popular than Christianity and it is not even close.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_religious_populations
Very similar is that everyone finally agrees we're in a banana republic, but for 2 very different reasons.
Yep, that's what makes it a brilliant statement. It has no sides.
I see now. Brilliant.
Come on now...
We all know those people don't have jobs.
and definitely aren't homeowners
Doesn't mean that comfy suburban house isn't the one they grew up in. They didn't even have to move their collection of star wars action figures.
Not officially. It's cash pay from Soros jobs.
There's a reason why illegals and welfare parasites love Democrats so much.
Good reminder that normal people can get caught up in it. Thanks
Unless you're Jeffrey Epstein in prison, of course.
Yep they actually rejected freedom for a while
Read your bibles folks.
Judah thrived when Israel split.
Leftists really do prefer a false reality. That's why their demographic dominated social media from the start.
TFW you realize the left and the right are the same fucking party...
This was how it always was.
yeah its fucked up. blue pill or red?
And so many in the first category are utterly convinced they’re in the second.
Some red pills are harder to swallow than others and some can't swallow them at all. They need it in suppository form.
In other words, Good vs Evil. A story as old as time. Christians always knew it worked like this, now it's blatantly obvious to everybody.
Have mercy on those poor souls.
The conditioning is very real and very pervasive. It will take time and effort to undo its effects. It's easy to ridicule those who are blinded, especially when they're hateful to us, but try. Try to help them see what's real. Try to help them shed the shroud.
That's the only way forward.
People hate responsibility. Its why they allow dictators to rule.
Oh my God I am 57 years old and I know people older than me who still believe the propaganda! This is a total nightmare they’ve been hypnotized by the fake news!
they don't want to be controlled they want to be cared for, they're just too stupid to realize that it's the same thing
Safe in the Arms of Biden.
🎶 In the arms of the Biden
Fly away from here...🎶
SNIFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
grope grope grope grope grope...
I have never been more convinced of this fact until now for obvious reasons. You can feel it (pity) when talking to someone that just does what they are told and feels how they are told to feel.
It's mind boggling the Internet could do this.
I do find it interesting that both creators of the matrix willingly chose the blue pill.
Philisophical Zombies. They exist on both sides, but there are so many more on the left and in the establishment democrat supporters.
Bingo buddy. You finally see the only true "party split."
Splitting into Morlock and Eloi, our techmedia oligarchs, their CCP overlords, their snowflake stormtroopers, each on the menu in turn.
++Scrolled waaay down to find the Morlock and Eloi post. Did not disappoint.
Amen!
there is more of option 2, but the vote cheating and polling will not allow it to be seen
There are people who know about the fraud but don't care because it benefits them.
Good vs evil i say.
Going to post to social with no comment - and where I don't really express my opinions - and watch liberals SEETHE.
Yes, we are. Especially when those people will allow the government to inject weird things into them, and they will definitely end up getting a chip in the back of their hand, or their forehead. I’m believing all of the predictions in Revelations are true, because they predicted exactly what Dan Stevens just laid out.
Id upvote you to orbit if i could.
No what your seeing is, propaganda so strong. So relentless, it doesnt need you to beleive in it, the person stand next to you does
YES! AND THAT'S WHY WE NEED TO FUCKING SECEDE SECEDE SECEDE SECEDE AND SECEDE!
WE NEED A PLACE FOR THE SECOND GROUP TO BE AN OVERWHELMING CLEAR MAJORITY IN!
Basically story of america since it's inception.DONT TREAD ON ME COMMIES SCUM

Aristotle referred to group number 1 as a "natural slaves". That is, those who would be better served in life being told what to do, rather than making their own choices.
WOW!
also
And here we all are on the Internet...
This is so unbelievably true.
Isn't code binary?
1 = Positive, Productive, Patriot Party 0 = The haters and the losers who can't help that they're fucked up
Yeah, but guess who have more babies and who chooses childless life
I am in my reality. All of you are fake in my reality.
I am fake in all of your realities.
seems fair.
Some people would rather eat the steak ala Cypher.
