The military has huge inertia in its desire to remain neutral in all politics. At least in the form of the military imposing its will on to any office.
Where "neutral" means following orders regardless of constitutionality. If you rephrase the prior sentence a bit, it works just as well for mercenaries. It could also refer to Tim Fool, if you replace "neutrality" with "fence-sitting"
In the United States, the military has civilian oversight. Like it or not, they are following orders. It would be illegal for them to do otherwise. As much as the current situation sucks, I wouldn't want to live in a country where the military takes action on its own. That usually leads to major problems.
To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if those shitheads are in on this as well. I'm hoping that we've exposed them enough for enough people to wake up.
