Has to be a complete takeover of the Republican shitshow. Otherwise all it will accomplish it an eternal fracture of conservatives.
The biggest problem that NOBODY wants to admit or address are the evangelicals. Conservatives are constantly losing because our own fringe lunatics push the normies out with the crazy crap.
Leave the religious stuff out, create a party that focuses SOLELY on personal freedoms, responsibility, and a reasonable plan for long term fiscal sustainability.
Basically make a non-crazy libertarian party that loves the shit out of America
Not all Trump supporters are pro-life, and in fact that might hurt the numbers overall as there are a lot of people that would vote for Trump's economics, but also vote single issue against that. The question is, do we lose more people by taking that policy position than we gain? It might be better to remain neutral on it and say the party is more about economic nationalism than any particular social position. The problem with that is infighting, but if we solidify a coalition to beat out the uniparty we can always split and squabble about those details later.
Been saying this for ages. Pro life fundies are toxic to our movement. I'm Christian, but the only single issues that matter are 1A and 2A. People will abort in alleyways and their bedrooms even if you ban and penalize abortion...nothing you can do about it.
Never said I wanted 9 month abortions, but we could simply EO abortion ban after 18 weeks, penalized by law afterwards as a felony. Add bill for opt in funding, in the form of a tax refund. I guarantee you even pro choice people will take the gibs and abortion will essentially be defunded. Also streamline adoption process so that adoptive parents cover hospital bills and children are placed with forever homes immediately after birth
Prosecuting murder does something. The fact is that if abortion were illegal, the loss of life would be abated.
Abolition of alcohol caused less drinking. No doubt about it. Alcoholism was greatly reduced as a result.
I disagree with abolition of alcohol on grounds of personal freedom, but whole heartedly agree with banning abortion on the grounds of personal freedom.
Yeah, but most people don't. It's not about what YOU want, it's about what people want. You'll have to compromise if you want to win, meaning a new nationalist party that is either neutral or moderate on social policy is a good compromise. Maybe even take the position that Roe v. Wade should go, but it should be a state's rights issue (which would be internally consistent with the principles the country was founded on). Freedom means free to do things that you vehemently disagree with.

Evangelicals are too big of a voting bloc to ignore religion.
Yes! The first step must be pandering to a group with priorities we don’t share. We’re off to a great start!
You’re not winning elections without them, and a large chunk of them are just Republican loyalists.
What priorities are different? Just curious.
Freedom of religion, pro life.... I don't see the rub

They need to bend to their own best interests, otherwise both sides will always been under the demoncrat boot
There's a lot of one issue voters in that block. You can't just cut them off.

Dumb fucks aborting in ally ways? Maybe.
But we are on the path to tax payer funded abortions and babies being ripped apart at 9 months in the womb.
Dumb take.
“We shouldn’t worry about it because idiots will use hangers in alleyways!”

Or you know provide pro-active education and resources so people don't have it get to that point instead of pushing bullshit abstinence hopium.

Am I not already doing that? It is a matter of convincing people. https://youtu.be/7J6ljJrzxIw
