You're both right that those are very very important ones, but my response would be that the first link is the churches. That is the one that is supposed to stand for and defend the things that are at the core of our heart and being, with which all other decisions we make and things we allow in our nations flow from. If we want God's blessing on us we ought to be seeking it. The American founders said the Constitution was made for a certain kind of people and would be inadequate to govern any other. The churches and the people in them have become lax in being salt to preserve the nation and light to help guide it. I believe resolving the problems we face has to start not in the White House but in the church house.
