By failing to grant clemency to Assange, Snowden and Kirakou, and by allowing documents he ordered declassified what seems like years ago to be released in heavily redacted form, President Trump is allowing the swamp to win. I realize the swamp rats are putting immense pressure on the Trumps to force him to bend the knee, and I cannot say that I would have the courage to act knowing the likely consequences. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they were threatening to persecute Barron the same way they did Flynn Jr. He already has the most powerful corporations in the world trying to ruin his family and their businesses and the party in control of the federal government seeking to put him and everyone who worked for him in a gulag. Under those circumstances I can understand why he would go away quietly.

But after publicly calling out Pence for his supposed lack of courage for President Trump to cave to McConnell and the swamp on his last day in office is terribly discouraging. Bannon was right when he said the swamp would not give us our country back without a fight. Right now, the Empire is striking back and doing so in a big way. I can only pray that we see the MAGA movement return more powerful than ever in a few years. But the next 2-4 years are going to be tough.
