By being a non-establishmebt President, Donald Trump exposed the depth and breadth of the corruption in our government. There's no doubt that he, himself, was continuously surprised to discover just how un-American the American government really is.

That doesn't mean, though, that he was I. A position to simply root out the bad stuff and return America to an idealized vision from Jefferson and Madison. Trump has very few allies in government. Most of the people ready to take advantage of his popularity want nothing to do with actual change.

The only real change Trump could have made would have involved a military takeover, since there would have been no political support. That would have failed. Military command is part of the establishment.

It's fun to think that Trump could have signed an order or issued a command to fix everything, but it isn't true. No man rules alone, and no man rules on the strength of conviction.

Yup we've been betrayed. I've been mentioning the possibility since his response on the 6th after the "storming". Time for him to enjoy his vacation at his resort while the rest of us get fucked in the ass until people come to their collective senses and take matters into their own hands. Because voting is certainly not going to do anything.
