The word is vastly overused.
I do not think Rudy Guliani and Sidney Powell, Flynn, Bannon, etc were larping. I think they just got caught up too far in the hopium. And a lot of people did.
I've been trying to warn people for a few weeks that we don't have the luxury of waiting for a superhero. It's time to get involved locally.

Doesn’t matter who is doing it, they were larping like we got them, that it was inevitable. The kraken was released. Etc etc.
That's not larping, it's called generating hype.
They're not mutually exclusive.
