Good question. I don't think he realized they were bad until it was too late to do anything about it. We all loved Mattis and thought he was based. Now he's literally working for the Chinese. He had years to put all his snakes in place. Pence was probably undermining him all four years.
It's just funny though that back in 2017 Alex Jones was warning people about Mattis and Kelly, that Trump was surrounded by a group of snakes including Pence.
True. I'm not sure why Trump didn't pay more attention to personnel choices. I love him but that was his fatal flaw. People like Mattis were mistakes that I can understand because he seemed legit. I don't understand keeping people like Comey in place or leaving Wray, or Fraudci, etc. Everyone knew they were snakes. Look at how much Grenell achieved in his short time in place. Imagine if he had people like that everywhere all four years?
