Suppliers to my business are already making plans to deal with an impending war on fossil fuels and a $15 min wage. My work life will never be the same. Got the worst call ever from my top supplier just now. 2021 will be way worse than 2020.

I’m in the same boat! I work for a really small business that directly deals with doing construction for churches. They’re 90% of our clientele. And all of my cucked coworkers and my boss are lauding Biden and so excited. Dolts.

What state are you in?

The very rural part of Northern Virginia. But it’s still totally cucked here. DC permeates everything. There are farms with BLM signs all over out here

I am freshly out of school and working outside of DC... Not happy here one bit... I was grateful that I had work but now I know that this place is just insane and will only get worse

I left rural Northern Virginia about 10 years ago.

I don't miss it. I still visit. Police everywhere. Speed traps. Lots of demoKKKrats who commute to and from DC. Real estate is over priced. Not many good restaurants. Difficult to meet young women. Not much to do. Not much culture.

Hell, the DemoKKKrats are even invading West Virginia now.

Your job doesn't sound like it is crucial or high paying. I'd start searching for a new job and relocate.

I’ve lived all over the country and I always have the misfortune of ending up back here. 🙄 It’s my least favorite place on Earth. I’ve hated it since I was little.

people really don't understand unless they know someone or have done business in the area... for 50 miles in every direction around the BELTWAY, its government contracts and people dependent on the SYSTEM in DC...

I have to say... the BEST THING Trump did was tell the SWAMP that he was going to go after them. (it got him MILLIONS OF VOTES...)

the WORST THING Trump did was tell the SWAMP that he was going to go after them... every swamp thing for 50 miles around turned their steely gaze on him and said "OVER OUR DEAD BANKBOOKS, you will"

Ask your boss how that 39% tax feels after it gets raised.

Maybe you don't understand what really small business can mean. It can mean mom and pop sell antiques out of their basement on eBay and make 60k a yr. Or it can mean 1 owner 1 manager and 5 employees. To sustain that business you need to bring in over 1 million gross revenue and at least 200k net to grow yr over yr. If your the owner and have a good year you could easily lose nearly %40 your future growth to taxes, not mention if you sell that business you lose sht ton to capital gains now. Taxes stunt growth, everyone just maintains bc its too hard to jump a small business from 500k to 2 million to make the numbers and the long hours/hassel/debt make it worth it.

The self employment tax was cut by half. Your boss is self employed. Add to that the expiring tax cuts Biden has said he ain't renewing and your dear old boss is looking at taxation hickes he ain't expecting cause he ain't informed. He'll be paying income + business taxes close to 39% to the feds alone.

If he structured it as a corporation then he's automatically going to pay 35% when the cut rates expire. Or if the Dems push for increases directly.
