During campaigns do you find that you get more harassment from the Rs and Ds to try to persuade your vote? Just wondering as I would think being registered as an R or D would shield you from a lot of it because they think they have already secured your vote.

Yep. When we a registered independent we get a lot more polls and surveys, but not fundraising calls. And lots more democrats knocking on the door. Never had GOP show up at the door.
We are listed independent again and hubby just unloaded on a GOP fundraiser on the phone.
If good candidates are in primaries, we campaign for them and donate directly to them, and update our voter registration if needed to vote for them.
Our theory is GOP needs to see numbers. So they need to see they get big numbers when they run America first candidates, and no numbers when they don't unless we get a viable third party.
There are no Independents.
Almost all of those who claim to be "independents" are milquetoast persons who have too much to lose if they speak up. They are cowards or Corporatists.
I get that. I'm just wondering if registering as anything other than R or D invites more harassment.
I'm a registered independent, college educated, white, suburban woman who gets HOUNDED by the democrats. They don't understand why I don't vote for them since I fall into their 'formula'
Yup, communist think like that
Yeah I kinda figured. I honestly want to start erasing my "fingerprint" from the public sector. Maybe I will just de-register altogether until just before each election.
