Dear The_Donald: I have been reading your posts and comments and laughing with your memes since Iowa. What a ride it has been.
You guys and I disagree on a lot, but I want to say this before I go: thanks to you all, I understand the world and the feelings of my fellow Americans far better than any of my friends and peer group. I can laugh at CNN when they misunderstand and defame you, and appreciate when conservative friends see the world differently.
I know that many of you find the idea of American unity hard to believe in for this moment, and it may well be that my very first post in all these years is thrown quickly in the ban bin (an honor to be bopped, almost). But please know that there are some of us with different opinions who truly long for the day when we will again meet and work together to do great things. We are the greatest country in the world and can only be that together. In the words of President Trump, a man who despite what I believe are some flaws had true love in his heart for all of you, have a good life. Farewell patriots!
You misunderstand us. We have no problems with unity. We've been demanding it for years while we had power.
What we don't want is the Left's idea of "unity", which is closer to "submission". You wouldn't force a Muslim to eat pork and piss on the Quran "in the name of unity". Why in the hell would we unify with people who have no desire to meet us anywhere in the middle? People who only want us to submit to their rule or have us eradicated?
I'm dead serious. What has the Left proposed that is remotely unifying? I can point to several Trump policies that uniformly benefited all Americans. What do conservatives have to look forward to in a Biden administration besides persecution?
I’m an immigrant, I’m a veteran, I am a conservative, I’ve seen what socialism does. Immigrants aren’t the problem, it’s the coddled that have never had to deal with the consequences of their actions that are the problem.
The goal is not to be a multicultural society, the goal was and I believe should alway be, a multiracial, unicultural(American) society.
This country was not intended solely for WASPs from England, and if it was that ship been long since sailed.This country is a bulwark for the idea that we have God given rights as men. We are a country of immigrants going back 200+ years. The Irish, the German, the Scandinavians, the Slavs, the Italian, the Greeks, the Chinese, the Japanese and countless others. Do I agree we need legal immigration, yes I do.
I take pause when I think about 11 million illegal immigrants getting a path to citizen ship. It will have some economic impact some very bad in the short term, if they adapt and become Americans. If they don’t and try to behave and live the way they did in their home countries, then we are in for serious pain for a long time.
If they become American, I assure you they believe in America and are some the the biggest zealots for this country.

Democrats are not united by that. They screamed at the top of their lungs for 4 years that the very idea of putting "America first" (even without any "dog whistles" which they saw everywhere) was somehow "racist". Their definition of "unity" is compliance.
Hard to "unify" when Biden's first day and entire agenda (what little there is) is explicitly divisive by design. I will never choose to unify with people that support a factually illegitimate "president" controlled by the CCP.
