This is something I'm concerned about regarding secession. If we successfully secede and form our own country with the constitution preserved, what will that mean in regards to our military?

Will so-called 'Trump loyalists' disband from the ones supporting the establishment and socialist democrats, effectively cutting our military in half (maybe 60-70% actually)? That wouldn't be ideal, I imagine.

Will the entire military end up having to join us if enough high ranking officials call for it?

Will the opposite of that happen, and we might instantly be considered an enemy nation and thus instantly invaded by both our former own military and a potential offshore enemy?

Or will the military promise to defend us regardless of our secession?

I'm not an expert on how all this works, so I'm just looking for answers on this concern of mine.

That's still splitting a fraction of said military. If the military is divided in any capacity, it's entirely possible an outside force could take advantage of that.

If Texas plans well, it can form a worldpower military the day it secedes.

Think of it. You have a huge amount of airforce and army bases as well as naval bases in Texas. You have now rocket bases with SpaceX technology all located in Texas. You have basically all of America's military might and technology all in that State. You probably will want a few other states to join to make up a bit, but I don't think Texas will have any problem becoming a world power

Those bases are considered federal ground. Everything in them would belong to federal govt. They would have to be removed. Secession would never happen bwcause fed govt will just pressure politicians to not secede or start Arkanciding them. There would also likely be a military strike on Texas to reclaim it for the federal govt
