Don’t get me wrong, I’m a bit concerned about how the general public is anticipating it like the Second Coming (case in point: I know someone who was in a bad car accident in another city (and the car was totalled), but their primary concern was that they wouldn’t be able to get back home to get the booster). But I don’t quite understand why so many people on this site are so hostile to it.

Because Covid-19 is WAY overblown and they government is pushing the vaccine harder than any vaccine has ever been pushed. It’s also the first of its type (mRNA)
Allergic reactions in otherwise healthy people, bell's palsy, etc. it's fine for people who are high risk...but it you're a healthy person who has a .06 chance of dying from covid...makes no sense to take a vaccine that has a 1% chance of fucking you up permanently.
