Depends on the state in which you live but you usually file with the county election board pay a small fee (Less than $100 in my state) and present around 50 to 100 signatures. That's it in most states. It will certainly be easier to run as a Republican because the system is so biased against third parties but, while I support the idea of running as Patriot Party in certain districts, the majority of us should run as Republicans because it holds the advantages of the system and will preclude you from running against an establishment conservative that may dilute your vote totals. You can then switch to the Patriot party once you win. Only celebrities with built in audiences (like Michael Flynn) would likely be able to make a successful run in Patriot party.
