Those were two very different situations. I remember 2000 well and Bush was ahead in many counties and Gore was the one kind of doing what Trump was doing this time around. Just like Biden, Bush stole his election. Gore was in the process of uncovering it and was getting close to beating Bush when SCOTUS intervened and declared Bush the winner. It was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt after the forfeiture that Gore had actually won and Bush committed fraud. The media made a huge show back then of how subjective the vote canvassing was because they wanted Bush to win. The real fraud was in the memory cards they were using. They way overestimated Gore's popularity in one district in Florida where he ended up with negative votes because they loaded too many anti-votes on the memory card. Bush also def stole from Kerry, though I think these results were always the plan between the two Bonesmen. A great Oscar awarded documentary called Black Box voting proves this beyond reasonable doubt.
