They'll either pull you over for some bullshit, or put a warrant out for you for "domestic terrorism" because of a twitter post from five years ago. Then, they jail you. While you're in jail, they search your home and take all the guns, and all your electronic devices. Then, they find all the horrible private conversations you have had, and they find your meme collection. Now, you're a terrorist. You will probably rot in jail. No shots fired. No "coming for you in the night". They won't do that.
