Biden isn't the end of the fucking world. He's a run-of-the-mill standard Big Government tax-and-spend lib. And that's how he's going to govern. He's already hard at work re-filling and re-populating the Swamp that GEOTUS did such a wonderful job draining.
The hilarity of it all (to my twisted sense of humor, at least) is that he's the president NOBODY wants. Certainly not conservatives, and not the AOC / Squad / Bernie libs. The only reason he "won" isn't because anyone voted for Joe, it's because so many people voted against Trump. If the DNC had nominated a doorknob, we'd have the first doorknob president sworn in today. Congratulations, you dumb fucks, you've put the fate of the United States, if not the free world, in the hands of a doddering senile old fart who couldn't remember if he was running for the White House or the Senate when he campaigned, and who, after a 47 year carreer in politics has absolutely no accomplishments of note. That's takes a real fucking dedication to absolute mediocrity. And that's Joe in a nutshell.
He'll raise taxes, he'll increase regulation. He'll probably shut down fracking. He'll probably subsidize (again) idiotic wind turbines and solar farms that will never pay back their carbon cost to build, will never generate enough power to justify their long-term maintenance costs (which the government won't subsidize) meaning they'll just rot and rust away. Again. Great news in you're in the business of building that shit, though. Bad news if they put one of the ugly, noisy bird-killing fuckers in your back yard.
So with all this big government, increased regulations, higher taxes and higher energy costs you'll see an an economy that's already weak from Covid crash and burn. And of course, being a Big Gummint Tax-and-spender Joe will have no fucking idea how to pull out of it, so it will be deep, and long, and painful, and Jimmy Carter's "Misery Index" will make a big comeback. Double-digit unemployment, interest rates and inflation. Joe will create several new departments to look into that. Their conclusions will be that we need more government control over the economy. Of course.
So November 2022 will be a referendum on how Sleepy Joe is doing, and you'll see a massive swing to the right, with the GOP taking over both houses of Congress. That will put a limit on how much damage Joe and/or Kamala can do going forward (they'll be lame ducks for 23/24), but I don't trust the GOP to have the balls to make the real cuts in taxes and government and get it past a veto.
It's going to be a big shit sandwich, folks. Winter is coming. Prepare accordingly.
Here's my rant:
