yep they fought to overthrow the gov. only problem is that the world is so connected these days that if this were to happen, it would need to happen on a global level

USSR spanned half the globe in direct and soft power, with no hope of escape and severe punishment for dissidents. People persevered, found ways to spread their writing and memes, and resisted until the system collapsed.

Their efforts weren't perfect - they didn't press for Uniparty to get dissolved and for former members to be barred from politics. We can learn from their mistakes.
