Use a adblocker like Ublock. I 100% block 100% of all ad's on any and all Google applications. I also let them know somewhat often that I am actively blocking the commercials there.
YouTube is massively unprofitable for Alphabet/Google. It costs them ungodly amounts of money to run the site. The best thing we can do is continue to make it unprofitable by blocking ads with tools like uBlock Origin and Brave browser and still consume the (based) content on it while there's any left to watch.
Google won't shut the site down while it has the power to manipulate the public through its SJW/communist propaganda. They're willing to take a hit to their bottom line to protect the "investment" they've made in that influence. One of the best ways to defeat them is to keep hitting them in the wallet. Make it hurt.

I use the Opera Browser to bypass every AD on YouTube.
When Youtube decided to stuff a million ADs into their video's I immediately found a way to block their AD's.
There are some channels that I do support with AD's on. I use Firefox for that.
I stay away from Google Search. I even have google.com and googadservices.com blocked in my HOSTS.txt file. I use duckduckgo.
