Prayer saves in ALL situations. God† will never leave you or forsake you.

Bummbler 89 points ago +102 / -13

God helps those who help themselves. God does not save those on their Ass waiting for a handout. He helps those in need who put in the work and we as a people have forgotten that. Quit waiting for God to do the work and instead let God help you get the work done.

MatthiasBlack 37 points ago +38 / -1

If you lose your keys, you pray that you will find your keys. You don't pray for God to magically open your door.

20
CA445 20 points ago +24 / -4

The truth is that we should wait when God tells us to wait, and act when God tells us to act. Anything else is doomed to failure. We need to pray when waiting and in action.

May we only find salvation in our savior Jesus Christ; with our god-given might.

2
novanleon 2 points ago +10 / -8

This quote isn’t anywhere in the Bible and is only meaningful to the most inexperience or immature of Christians. Walking with Christ means not doing anything by your own power. If you do not understand this then you have much to learn.

3
BidenTouch 3 points ago +3 / -0

Oh! Christ was pretty clear about the action verbs ...like GO (not sit and wait)

I'm fine with people not doing things in their own power.

I'm not fine with people not doing anything and pretending it's spiritual.

...and free will IS in the Bible; First book, GENESIS, "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.", your CHOICE.

Have you ever read Job? Job 42:10 And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

You can't just pray and hope God fixes everything.

God only helps people who help themselves. You can pray for direction, but its on us to get the fuck out there and be the change we want to see in this world.

24
Kraznaya 24 points ago +28 / -4

Lol I see there's a lot of people in denial that just way to pray the tyranny away without having to actually do anything.

This is why the left is winning.

18
NotoriousCIC 18 points ago +21 / -3

It's just an empty platitude. Does nothing. Just like in the church, Republicans have so many giant pussies who refuse to understand the reality we are facing. The Mike Pences of the world. The "I'm weak but well-mannered and classy" act while they continue to get taken advantage of.

We have no use for these types of people.

2
ImFinallyNotAnAlt 2 points ago +3 / -1

Bro.. God wants utter reliance on Him. Yes we can take action, a Christian plans his way and God guides his steps. But that doesn’t mean anyone can just do whatever they want and expect a blessing from God. We could’ve seen a 1776 on the stolen election go horrible if God wants Joe to remain, and indeed He does because Joe does remain; for now.

2
manowar 2 points ago +2 / -0

You're praying, listening, and obeying.

1
EricTX 1 point ago +4 / -3

God only helps people who help themselves.

Sorry, you must have the religion. No statement like this is in the Bible. The problem with the American church is that it is so full of people that are only interested in helping themselves, that is why most congregations are never willing to do anything that requires personal sacrifice.

Jesus actually says quite the opposite.

“Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13 (NASB)

1
ImFinallyNotAnAlt 1 point ago +3 / -2

Thanks brother, the church needs an actual legitimate revival and understanding of who God is. We’ve all been played.

1
streakybacon 1 point ago +5 / -4

you can't just pray and hope God fixes everything.

No but that's not what prayer is for, nor is it true that God doesn't fix things in response to just prayer.

3
Granny 3 points ago +5 / -2

FGS. You can pray and prayers are answered, but you can't live your life on prayer alone. You are a child of God, not a puppet of God! You must use your God-given free will and make decisions and actions of your own;

2
streakybacon 2 points ago +5 / -3

Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Matthew 4:4

Also, nobody is saying to ONLY pray or to be a puppet, or not use your free will. Those are ridiculous arguments against prayer.

3
Granny 3 points ago +3 / -0

You didn't read my comment, so I don't understand how you can find arguments I didn't make to be ridiculous.

13
logan34 13 points ago +14 / -1

Prayer offers guidance and strength to make our own choices.

8
r3deleven 8 points ago +11 / -3

and nothing more. it is not a substitute for action, ever. Thinking prayer is some sort of magic physical force is the highest form of laziness

4
veritasvincit 4 points ago +8 / -4

Waiting on "God's plan" is literally the same as a Q-larp. Believing God will protect the righteous and smite evildoers is why we're in this position. Christians have become just as passive as Q believers.
We live in a world where you have to impose your will on others or be destroyed. Morality and ethics are propaganda tools that those with power hold over you to get you to comply.

0
Hardcouer 0 points ago +1 / -1

If Q larps had been at the centre of our civilisation as it became great over 1500 years, then I'd be all for Q larps.

You guys just haven't figured it out: 1500 years of growth under Christianity has been followed by 50 of godlessness, and our civilisation is already dying.

The experiment has been done: Christianity works, godlessness does not.

Isn't it strange God doesn't tell anyone to smite the wicked anymore?

Has God changed his mind? Or, have criminals taken over the world's institutions, including religion, and they want you neutered and crying in a pew somewhere?

1
Hardcouer 1 point ago +1 / -0

Have you read the Gospels?

1
BigIronBigIron 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes, I studied them a lifetime ago. If you're about to shpiel me on Jesus I suggest you cast your line in different waters.

1
Hardcouer 1 point ago +1 / -0 (edited)

Then you know that Jesus' revelation was not to smite. He brought his plan to fruition through Jesus and it changed the need for smiting by man. It is a major difference between the Old and New Testaments.

We suffer bravely and as shrewdly as we can, and have total faith/dependence on God for the rest. He will smite most of the wicked and they will all burn forever in a lake of fire.

1
BigIronBigIron 1 point ago +1 / -0

He will do precisely none of that because he was a charlatan that communed with hookers and gay dudes like some Greenwich Village hippie. That lake of fire is as real as QAnon. Trust the plan! Don't challenge the powerful, just be a good little lamb and submit to their every whim, you'll get paradise when you're worm food! lol what a joke

Both of you are right.

6
pray4peace4 6 points ago +7 / -1

Wow! You were downvoted! Incredible.

A house divided cannot stand. We aren't worth diddly squat if we, as a group, start forming factions.

After my wife found the Lord she was pretty pumped up. And as she was driving down the road, she was praying & said that she knew if she let go of the steering wheel that God would steer the car for her. Kinda scary, right? No, God won't steer the car for you. He isn't a slave to our wishes, dancing attendance upon each & every desire.

But... there are times in history when God intervened in response to prayers of the saints. In the Revolutionary War, the colonists were at a huge disadvantage. But General Washington was a deeply committed Christian & demanded all his troops to worship on Sundays & have daily prayer for the Lord's deliverance. He even had them pray during military maneuvers as long as shots weren't being fired. And the crossing of the Delaware maneuver was indeed a miracle.

The Union Army was losing almost every battle in the first half of the Civil War. It was looking really grim fr the North. The Confederate Generals were very skilled in military strategy & outclassed those of the Union greatly. Lincoln was deeply depressed. One afternoon in the White House, after a particularly bloody & disastrous battle that the Northern troops lost, one of Lincoln's staff heard a strange sound like muffled screams of agony. He went from room to room trying to find the source & finally found an unoccupied side room where he heard great moaning from someone. He slowly opened the door & there was Lincoln on his knees crying & moaning in agony as he prayed to his God for blessings & victory for his troops. After that day the North began to win battles, Lincoln finding better men like Sherman & Grant to put hands to his prayers. And we know the end of the story.

That's how the life of a Christian goes. We meet a point in our lives where we're boxed into an impossible situation with no way out. We pray. God intercedes. We fight.

There are cases where God intercedes without human assistance. They're pretty rare, but they happen. Never, ever discount that possibility.

Trump supporters needed to stop the certification, occupy and hold the capitol, and possibly members of congress, until the investigation into voter fraud could be completed

That just wasn't possible, though. We went to the Capitol without a plan, expecting that Trump would tell us what to do. When that didn't happen, we acted on impulse. There was no organisation or planning.

We need much more radical civil disobedience. I agree that if we sit on the sidelines for this and pretend we can work within this system we will lose. And you're going to get all the anger and frustration built up breaking out in lone wolfs and others who aren't just larping.

We need to build confidence in challenging the system directly. The left has patiently chipped away until they have all the power and people here thought one man was going to change everything and we wouldn't have to do anything but post on the internet and vote.

2
e1776 2 points ago +2 / -0

it's coming. the pain people are feeling now will serve as a spark. Trump's failure may be the only thing that can set things in motion. leaders will rise, are you willing to protect them when they do? that's what will matter.

The reality these LARPers don't want to acknowledge is that a 1776 event is the end of the US. Look how long it took after 1776 for us to become a world power, and you can't do it without external support. Real Patriots don't wish for Civil War or harm to their fellow Americans. Simple as that.

3
PN_OShea 3 points ago +3 / -0

The reality is that Biden is not leaving anyone on the Right any choice.

Sun Tsu said that if you are surrounding an enemy, you must give him an escape route, or at least the illusion of one even if it remains under your control. An enemy who thinks they have a hope of survival will run given the opportunity. An enemy who thinks there is no hope of survival otherwise will fight without mercy and brutally.

His strategy is...not well thought out in this regard.

Biden would have been better played giving a few weeks after his installment as Governor of the Occupied States to make it appear that our fears are unfounded, then start his roll out slowly - usually on some lazy Friday afternoon like Clinton so nobody notices.

Instead, he is taking the Blitzkrieg approach - hoping to confuse us and dazzle us with this onslaught of blows till we collapse into subjugation.

Unfortunately, given the American mentality and capability, this is sociologically unlikely from at least a sizeable portion of the population. While we could suggest that roughly 70% of Trump's followers will likely succumb to the Gilded Cage he's offering in the false of of returning to "normal", if even 10% decide to resist due to the aforementioned Sun Tsu's rule, that puts roughly 8 million angry Americans ready to resist, unbound by the restrictions of conceived philia, shared humanity, or common social contract.

This situation is not tenable, and is statistically likely to end in further degeneration of peaceful social fabric.

3
idshukhov 3 points ago +3 / -0

You're as wrong as they are. Their assessment of the situation and anger is correct. Your passivity is not. However, raging on the internet and some random acts of violence from lone wolves is pointless. On that part I agree.

2
GATrooper78 2 points ago +2 / -0

But we could have already done this. How can we ever expect to come back from this?

Sorry but after everything I've witnessed over the past couple months, it's hard to see how this wasn't the last line of defense. How do we possibly come back from this?

1
SpezLovesHisBull 1 point ago +1 / -0

28
geotus3000 28 points ago +31 / -3

We didn't gain our freedom in a day, nor did the Communists take it in one. It takes hard work and perseverance. Never giving up, no matter how lost the battle seems. Turn every setback into an opportunity. We were far worse off than we could have imagined, but now we know where we're at with much more clarity. Take it to heart and redraw battle lines. We are just getting started.

9
ZERGRUSHlimbaugh 9 points ago +10 / -1

The thing about ringing that "this is our last stand! It's this or we're doomed!" bell is that it can't be unrung. A lot of people here opted for short term results of that sooner bullshit and now few know how to cope. So many people saying they're never voting again, or never voting R, or whatever else. Hopefully people learned their lesson that the short term solution is never going to get you the long term wins.

10

Do far more than voting too.

2
idshukhov 2 points ago +2 / -0

This has been one disaster after another. Free speech being curtailed in ways I never imagined possible in this country. Standards for voting now below 3rd world levels. I don't see a solution within the current system. It is not just "we lost this one election." It is that all legal paths to changing this country have been removed.

MAGA has to evolve into a cultural movement that changes America from the ground up.

3
Scrubattack 3 points ago +3 / -0 (edited)

Agreed, I'll repeat that MAGA needs to evolve a million times. It will never win this political warfare if it remains in its current state.

Beyond just priorities and subcommittees. It needs direction, culture, goals, strategies, plots, tactics, it's own businesses from tech to manufacturing, its own institutions and etc. We need to address all the problems the nation faces.

This is why I keep on suggesting things like a MAGA Baby Boom to address the problem of demographics war. If Patriots can multiply enough while the left destroys its family unit and promotes LGBT nonsense, you could take back the nation just by outbreeding them.

WE NEED BIG BRAINED MAGA GENIUSES TO DO MORE THAN SHITPOST.

That is a sobering thought, right there. Donald Trump was in the White House with 100 million people supporting him, but the Patriots couldn't get anything done. They wouldn't take action even after the elections were stolen, because they expected someone else to do their jobs for them. That was a blunder.

As usual the devils amongst us want to redirect energy to denying God and blaming prayer for the weaknesses of men instead of other more pertinent and political topics.

Funny how all "public spaces" tend to gravitate towards anti-Christian sentiment. And people wonder how Biden happened.

Pray, and if you feel led to protest or fight back in some other way, then by all means do as you feel led, but nobody should be saying “you need to do X” or “you need to do Y”. That’s not how walking as a Christian works, and even if you’re not a Christian, it’s abundantly clear nobody here, or anywhere else, knows for certain what must be done to win this fight.

Does nobody understand that this is all by the hand of God? That everything happening according to His purpose? To what end, I do not know, but I do know this: that America has been consumed by immorality and evil, and judgement is coming in some form. I earnestly believe America is living out Jeremiah 51:57, and it’s clear that judgement is on it’s way.

Again, if you feel led to fight, do as you feel led, but understand that God often has people playing different roles and what is intended for one is not always intended for another.

Why are you preaching to me? I never said what anyone “needs” to do. However if you’re telling me to tell people they don’t need to pray, then save me the “Christian walk” talk because that’s unbiblical. The simplest form of prayer is asking Jesus into your heart.

Nobody is denying God or blaming prayer. They're saying to take action as well. Don't just "give it to God" to fix the issues. You have to physically proactive to start changing things around you. That's all.

O.P specifically says hope and prayer "will NOT save us". Not even sure where the idea that Christians are just praying and sitting around doing nothing came from. Sounds like people's insecurities rather than a helpful post or discussion.

HOPE and PRAYER are good, but will NOT save us. ONLY HARD WORK WILL

He's right. This isn't a situation that is going to unfuck itself. It's going to take a lot of people pushing towards a common goal. It's not an insult. It's a rallying cry. But people are getting offended by it.

1
streakybacon 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's not insulting, it's just wrong.

It's an odd form of scapegoating.

1
Hannibal_ 1 point ago +1 / -0

Offended are we?

1
streakybacon 1 point ago +1 / -0

Childish response, new account guy.

Hannibal_ 0 points ago +1 / -1

Pointing out the obvious. New account or not, I'm not the one getting offended by someone else's opinions.

God is sending us a message to get off our butt and work. If you prayed for plan I suggest you listen. You don't know better than god.

1
streakybacon 1 point ago +2 / -1

Oh so now you're trying to prophecy - while making assumptions about what I'm doing? On a forum post?

I suggest you mind your own business and stop trying to tell me what to listen too. I really don't think that this post is an answer to prayer. The opposite, in fact.

1
CyberMagaUnderground [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Oh, so you were lying. Alright, so why are you on this forum? Shilling?

streakybacon 0 points ago +1 / -1

Do you even know what you're talking about?

I don't have time to waste on whatever you think this is.

Just get some fresh air, man.

I'm not the one worrying about someone's prayer life.

For that matter: don’t despair. Statists and globalists put their fates in the hands of governments. Us? We work hard and make out own way. Does Biden represent obstacles? Yes. But I for one won’t be a whiny libshit whose only hope in life is big government bailing them out.

God helps those who help themselves. He doesn't give a fuck about whining, do-nothing pussies.

CookieMonsters 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've been saying this for the longest time. Prayer doesn't do shit except make you feel better. Action changes things not prayer

Force the patriots, do not let fear take you away, you have to be in continuous struggle.

God bless America, God Bless President Trump

Yes yes and yes. The only reason why Bigtech is so Liberal is because there are no conservative entrepeneurs or lack thereof. There is a market for 80 million pedes looking for technological solutions that is billion dollar market!!!!

Something that depresses me that I don’t talk about much is how the countryside is disappearing around the world. The picture on the right in this pic - that’s what Earth should be like.

Hope and prayer work because they shift the mindset and create motivation to work.

If not, then it is just wishful thinking.

2
massivehairycleaner 2 points ago +2 / -0

As long as it's not hard work in the gulags.

2
Goldlight 2 points ago +2 / -0

get to work boys

get in shape, get in involved with local politics, learn survival skills

2
QuietSpark 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hard work learning to organize on the local level.

2
conservativeyuppie 2 points ago +2 / -0

Wrong, both are necessary. Hard work without prayer will lead to self obsession and narcissism which will ultimately destroy you.

2
givethismanacoat 2 points ago +2 / -0

How about fighting? Jesus cracked a whip. He wasn’t a Republican beta male.

2
weaponized_frogs 2 points ago +3 / -1

100% true.

some religious people will dislike the fact that you're saying "prayer isn't enough", but they really need to wake up.

yes, but think about how many people have been praying and now look at where we're at. it didn't work, and they're just moving the goalposts.

Hi fellow Patriots, i have an advice regarding working hard. Try mining cryptocurrency if you have extra money to spare the income is a little good right now.

And FYI read Yuri's warning to us https://patch.com/florida/dunedin/bp--the-four-steps-for-american-subversion-5985fc5a

The thing is the left knows we're too reliant of God and the godless left uses that as their advantage.
