The thing about ringing that "this is our last stand! It's this or we're doomed!" bell is that it can't be unrung. A lot of people here opted for short term results of that sooner bullshit and now few know how to cope. So many people saying they're never voting again, or never voting R, or whatever else. Hopefully people learned their lesson that the short term solution is never going to get you the long term wins.
